| Holy Shit that is a nice game. Right now I'm on chapter 4, I got the crystal star, and just got the ghost for a partner. I just got the 6th Crystal Star from the Poshley Sanctuary. I loved that Smorg thing on the Excess Express! They should have called it Smorgasborg. I accidentally used Bomb Squad on myself...  Currently, I'm in Poshley Heights (of course). I can't wait to go to the Pit of 100 Trials! I'll have my Tattle Log almost full in no time!Stats: Level: ~16 HP: 40 FP: 35 BP: 21 Tattle Log: +76 Crystal Stars: 6 Partners: 6 Avg. | After 60 hours of playing, I can certainly say that Paper Mario 2 may not be quite a sjam packed with laughs as Superstar Saga, but certainly has a LOT more added to the gameplay, especially the Badges. Remember how there was a set amount of badges you could get? No longer, my friends. You want three P-Up, D-Downs? Yea, go n' get 'em, if you can find 'em. 5 Defense Up P's? Mm hm. Anyway, eh... Almost have found everything. Spoiler: I also have discovered that there must be cameos of the Paper Mario 1 party members- I just don't know where to find them. After beating the final boss, I found Bow and Bootler at Poshly Heights... |

| Is it far better than the first Paper Mario? Sure I thought Paper Mario for the N64 was a great game, but I didn't like it as much as Super Mario RPG for the SNES, but yeah ... I know they were both developed by different teams (Square and Nintendo), so different kinds of gameplay would be expected. | Finally got this game (I got paid!) and wow is it good! The graphics are excellent and work really well, especially with the page-flipping effects (gotta love the stairs in the castle). The battle system is unique and quite good as a matter of fact. The coolest thing about this game is its stage. You have an audience and they give you star points and they will throw items at you... or just throw a hammer... I am only in Chapter 2 and I am loving this game. Spoiler: Fighting Hooktail, I said no to all of his demands and... well, he didn't like that. He went in the crowd and ate a few audience members and scared the rest off! I then had to fight him in the seats. Really funny in my opinion. I am thinking of now making a post layout for this game... it is just too fun! EDIT: Avatar done! | I had this awesome idea where we (read: I) make up partners. To keep it from descending in to spam (read: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. I crack me up.) we could make sure they're very detailed, with none of that "OMG A PARTNER THAT IS A AMAZY DAYZEE!!!" and hopefully a little professionalism, with nothing too overpowered. For instance, here's this thing I made up and posted on the GameFAQs board. "Ghault Dry Bones Ghault is the undead spirit of a koopa who used to guard Bowser's castle, but whom was defeated by Mario. Admiring Mario's strength, Ghault eventually happens across Mario and begs him to let him come with him. 10 at basic rank 20 at super rank 30 at ultra rank Ghault has 1 defense against physical attacks, -1 defense against fire and explosions, and 0 defense against other attacks. If Ghault is defeated but not by fire or explosions, Ghault will revive after three turns with 10 HP. ---------- Appeal: Ghault falls apart, then puts himself back together. Attack: Bone Throw. 3 damage at Basic, 4 damage at Super, 5 damage at Ultra. Can hit any target. Action command is, hold left as five icons light up one by one. On the last icon, let go of left. Stylish command is after throwing the bone, Ghault will backflip. Additional Stylish command is as Ghault lands. Basic Special: Bone Rush. Costs 2 FP. Throw three bones with two power each at basic rank, four bones at super rank, and three bones with three power each at ultra rank. Action command is identical to Bone Throw, Stylish command is as the last bone hits its target, Ghault poses. Super Special: Exoskeleton. Costs 4 BP. Ghault creates a dry bones around Mario, giving him an armor of bones. The armor has 10 HP, it's pretty much exactly the same as Shell Shield. Ultra Special: Grave. Costs 4 FP. Dry Bones dig their way through the floor, grab all enemies on the ground, and drag them down. If performed perfectly, works on aerial foes as well. Action command is hit left and right to fill up a guage, but don't let it overflow. Stylish command is just before the dry bones come up. ---------- Field Ability: Bone Throw. Throw a bone to hit elevated switches. If it hits an enemy, begin battle with Bone Throw." |

Another Paper Mario cameo is found in the diary of the green Ratooey in Rogueport Harbor. He says he's going to Dry Dry Desert. In his diary, he mentions Dry Dry Outpost, Kolorado, Moustafa, Buzzar, and the blue and stone cactuses. He also says exactly where to find oil there.  |

| Booey Boo Booey haunts many different steeples and haunted mansions. He had been trapped along with many other boos within an old treasure chest. Mario comes across this treasure chest and opens it, unleashing Booey. 15 at basic rank 25 at super rank 35 at ultra rank 3 defense against items and 0 defense against everything else. ---------- Appeal: Booey disappears then appears in the audience and scares the audience Attack: Lick. 2 damage at level one, 4 damage at level two and 6 damage at level three. | I just thought of this: the beginning of PM: TTYD is similar to SMRPG... think about it for a second. You get the first star where in SMRPG? In a castle. PM: TTYD? A castle. Same applies to the second star. Spoiler: Well... you also have to get the star from Smithy in SMRPG and in PM, you have to get the star from Grodus. Seems too similar... I would make a character, but I would rather draw it first... |
