I was about ask who he was seeing as his name sounded familiar. Then I go read the article and now I kind of know who he was. It's not cool to hear about this kind of stuff.

Very sad news, on more than one level.

I feel sorry for his family and friends, and it is sad that he died so young.

I enjoyed the Superman movies, and after his accident, I admired the way he carried on with his life, with determination and optimism, where many others would've given in.

I also feel sorry for those for whom Reeve was a beacon of hope. Reeve was known to be outspoken about stem cell research, which had the potential to help Reeve, and countless other people. Reeve was one of the most outspoken supporters of stem cell research, and his loss will be felt even more by those affected by similar conditions.

I for one, am very sad to hear this.

Yep, I knew there would be a Maddox link here. It was inevitable. 100% chance of probability.

I never really cared much for Christopher Reeve. :/ The Superman movies sucked ass. (Probably because Superman sucks.)

But Somwhere in Time was a bitchin' movie that I'm sure NONE of you have seen. But just in case you have, don't judge me.

That one old movie with Jane Seymour that my mother watched constantly back in the day? Yea, I've seen that...isn't half bad.

All I can really say is it's a shame and it's a big loss...especially when he was shooting for something to bounce back from. Eh...lot of talent dying as of late.

...I remember hearing alot about him and stem cell research. I'm actually for stem cell research myself. I know someone disabled would could be helped by stem cell research, he is one of my best friends... maybe even dies before stem cells is avaible thought.

I don't want to sound really mean or anything, but I think this has to be said. Not only is stem cell research near impossible to do with five trillion people telling you to stop. (Yes I know there is less than 8 billion people in the world.) But we aren't even sure if it would have worked. We can't assume that stem cells would have saved him and there were other things available to use. I saw on the discovery channel that though a slow and probably painful prosess some guy used electricty to move himself with his limbs. It didn't completely work, but it did work a little bit.

I believe that Reeves never donated any money to this himself and even though everyone thought he was brave for comming out it really wasn't. He would have been a craven coward (is that even gramaticlly correct?) to not show himself. He made the whole thing seem harder than it should have been. I am kind of sad he died and I am kinda pissed for all those people who needed the help he gave. No one has the right to take anyones chance of salvation from the hands of someone, but still no one thought completely realistically about stem cell research. Even the people trying to ban it would rarely come up with the point that you are killing thousands of babies, but there is no garuntee for a cure. (Of course those babies would have been killed anyways.
