Only thing I got a problem with is like Sofie's last layout...it's lacking the one thing that IE hates: It doesn't show the pic all the way on a short post. :\

No, you just need to work around IE stupidity, not give in.
* html #maidnel { height:300px;} is what you left out from Sofie's code. This is a hack to give the correct values for IE for height since it doesn't understand min-height.

And I fixed it in your latest post here.
