I was listening to the Used's new cd "In Love and Death" in my windows media player, and it said hdcd detected, when i clicked it, it didnt do anything does anyone know what hdcd is? | |||

It indicates a higher bitrate. I can't tell the difference past 128, which I believe standard CDs are. | |||

HDCD... If I remember correctly, regular CDs are 16 bit... HDCDs are 24 bit... You can only take advantage of this if your computer as a +16bit sound card. Also, there are some standalone HDCD players... at least I think so. I remember doing some research on HDCD, can't remember why. |
