There was a certain bug that when it used the 6 letter code when you play in a certain suit
and go down a pipe you die.

once I got the code working, i sat there and played the shit out of every level. That's such a fun way to play! changing suits on the fly, Suckah! Mega Man style

The fun is that you can be in ANY suit you want and need.Including the Hammer suit.
So you can complete levels in a Flash!

This isn't a glitch, it's a debug mode for testing the game. Apparently, some carts (and therefore ROMs) had it enabled by accident. There's also a Game Genie code for it.

There IS a game genie code for the NES VERSION... not the SNES version, so any of you people who accuse of Sharking, or other codes, just letting you know

They repaired it so its the 8 letter code now.Though when you use the six letter code you have to use small mario if you want to enter a pipe.
