This is the wrong forum for this question. The AcmlmBoard programming forum is the right place(actually there is no fourm here where this question is welcome). To answer the question, http://acmlm.cjb.net:2/acmlmboard1.8a.zip. It is an old version, and there are some known security holes. To learn how to fix them and set up forums, go to http://www.cymoro.com/abhacks/abinstall.php(read this first to see if you can use AcmlmBoard). If you don't understand the installation instructions, you will not be able to run your own copy of AcmlmBoard. |

Just reading this post, is there anyway of testing my forum before I buy a website, and can I have a start page which has a set of links, one link which sends you to the board?

All you need to know is that whatever "website" you buy is on a server that supports both PHP and MySQL. To make a start page, just make another page that links to the board and other stuff. If you want to make that page the index, you'll have to rename the board's index (for example to board.php instead of index.php) and make your start page the index.whatever. Or you could put the board in its own subdirectory.

Curious, why the hell did you register 3 acounts? Regardless, look at the webhost's services page. If it lists PHP and MySQL databases... it's good. [insert large fiftypounds ad here] |

Fairly Oddparents fan eh? That show does pwn. Anyway, I don't think 50MB is going to be quite enough for a big board. Just the posts on this board are taking up 54, if I'm reading the stats right. |

But since you don't already know this, I doubt that you're ready to run, install and maintain an AcmlmBoard. |
