| I bought it today, which is pretty clever because it's due out tomorrow (God bless the independant game store, their cheap prices and their disregard for release dates!) Now I don't know what to expect. I've never played a S.O game in my LIFE, I wanted a nice big RPG to get my teeth into aftef getting the perfect ending on FFX-2 for the second time, this thing comes on 2 DVDs so you KNOW it's big, or had lots of nice Anime, either way I'm happy. That and us Euro-bies get a THIRD DVD with some Trailers on it (I've watched the FF12 trailer. I want that game SOO bad!), interviews, artwork and some excerpts of the soundtrack. I love the artwork. Pretty. I've not yet played the game though, the game in my PS2 is currently Viewtiful Joe, and I'm addicted to that but... I'll get round to it andlet you all know what I think  |

| Wow...I could not possibly be disappointed with this game. Nothing wrong with the story like I thought there might've been. The music is pretty good, the comedy is clean *shock!* and the voice-overs are nice. Spoiler: Some music returns! I've discovered at least two songs returning from Star Ocean 2 in this, and nice choices too. Although, I don't know how much I like the new renditions over their originals. The one rap song caught me off guard too. I also discovered the vs mode in the game, although that was more shown to me. I'm a lot more used to the battle system too. The combo's took me a while, but not hard to get the hang off once you pick up the idea. |

| WHERE THE FUCK ARE ALL THE SAVE POINTS?! I've been playing for about 4 hours now. I think I remember seeing.....two. Fucking damn!  Also, the battle system..............*sigh* I guess I'll just grin and bear it for now. I feel like I don't know what I'm doing yet I know I do. It's weird. Oh, and what's with all the long pauses? Character X: Hi..........................................................................................................................................how are you? *30 seconds later.....* Character Y: .....................................Fine. *30 more seconds* And you? You know? Voice acting is pretty good, but the facial features blow. Why is that wheneve something bad is happening, every character has a big fucking grin on their face? That throws the whole mood away.  It's like: Character X: *grin* My leg needs to be amputated. *grin* (While all the other characters are smiling too. wtf?) I haven't gotten to the item creation part yet, but I'll probably immerse myself with that the most. Seems interesting. Oh, and Cliff rules so far. |

I havent seen one of those save ponts that refills your mp/hp for like the past 10 hours...Ive been going deeper and deeper waiting and hoping for one and yet nothing! And whats with my special moves consuming HP? Thats some bull!!! |

I went through an hour and a half without seeing a save point. And this included many cutscenes and talking. What if I had to go to work or school?  And FFVII isn't nearly as bad as games that let you save WHENEVER you want. Like the Lunar games for instance. |

| IT'S THE NEW MP FINAL ATTACK! ...yaaay... Seriously though...no more final attacks if all they ever do is lance your MP to death and you die from it. I don't get the basis of that unless they're trying to term that as 'life energy'...and even then wtf...that's your HP. I CAN'T EVEN MAKE UP A DECENT EXCUSE FOR IT! So yea, that concept is a bit...weird. |

| There's also something you guys should know about. For the skills development, putting levels into "Attack" and "Defense" doesn't do anything for their stats. It tweaks their AI. Higher level of "Defense" means they are more prone to be a chicken, and higher levels of "Attack" means they go all out, all the time. Clearly, not a good idea to go 10 and 10 in both of those. You do want to go 10 and 10 for HP and MP though. Much easier to prevent MP death that way. Just wait til you get used to the insane combo system. And wait til Cliff keeps comboing Sphere of Might with itself. (Watch his HP drain very quickly that way.) Just have patience Legion, this game has thrown some surprises at me as well. |

| I got it today and I'm playing it now, I haven't gotten far yet but so far it's pretty good. It's not so great that I expected but not bad at all. It's fun with the bonus enemy thing, I gained 3 levels from the first boss And I already knew since long that MP could kill you, might be bad since you have to worry about several things but shit, the only MP attacking enemy I've met does 1 damage and you start with 100+. Besides, mp healing items are cheaper than hp ones I didn't know about the attack and defend thing though, which sucks, I saved up to put my first on attack  |

| I didn't put on that battle trophy option to spare my poor memorycard (but guess who did -.-), so I'll have to wait with a second run through to see how that works. It's alot harder than SO2, and the item limit and high mp cost for the healing spell piss me off What's more annoying is that the characters you don't control are idiots. Even if their hp is critically low, they'll either just stand still (in the middle of the mess they were at to begin with), or continue using moves that drain their hp. Especially my Cliff is suicidal like that. I want more settings for the ones I don't control  I'm wondering how exactly you can afford equipment above 20k when you have about 1k max left after buying some berries. There's lots of things I have to get used to, but it hasn't become too hard yet. Does this game have more cutscenes than FFX, or am I just imagining things? I really like the voices most of them got so far I love Nell. Her voice and design and shifty eyething... *dreams of mad lesbian secks* |
