This series looks very interesting seeing as I just saw the first episode on CN. I've heard of the series before but never watched it. Now I am going to watch it as it has caught my attention.

The game coming out by Square? That's the only way I could figure on credit.

Wasn't FMA produced by Square or something? Or they wrote the story? I can't remember...

I just looked up about the SquareEnix getting credit and here's what I found. http://ps2.ign.com/objects/688/688587.html So, Hiryuu, you are right about it getting credit because of the game. |

It's actually just advertising (at least that's how it was before the game came out). Was it too "cut down"? I missed it . It'd be great if they didn't remove any of the scenes. |

Yikes. I missed it, and I'm glad. I heard the dubbing was freaking horrible. Al sounds like he talks out of a bucket, and the main character sounds like he's 30+ years old. But yeah, that's what I've heard, as I said I didn't see it myself. |

Well, I didn't see it, but I still say the sub is probably way better. Thank mozilla for the power of the internet. |

I absolutely loved it. I've never seen the subbing, so that might be the reason why ; Personally, I thought everything was alright.. I found it quite strange that Al spoke like he did, but it made a lot of sense... I mean.. he was just living armor now. Hm.... maybe I liked the show because of the fact that I love the concept of alchemy.... |

He talks like hes talking out of a bucket because his soul his projecting his voice through a freakin suit or armor! duh!! And Edward doesnt talk like hes 30 years old, he sounds like a regular smart teenager...ill admit that he doesnt seem 15 at all...to me hes like a short 18 year old. The shows great though, I love the characters, concept, music, animation, and even the fights were awesome. (edited by Sion Traydor on 11-09-04 02:09 PM) |

Sion, I hate to burst your bubble on the fighting, but you're gonna have to wait a few months until the REALLY good stuff comes up. As for the dubbing, it's actually extremely good compared to the sub. Al is supposed to talk like he's talking out of a bucket, he sounds that way in the sub as well. And I thought Ed's american voice was actually better than his japanese voice, where his american voice made him seem older, his japanese voice made him seem much younger. I really just want to see what they did with Hughes, Mustang, and Armstrong. I'm kinda scared of what they're gonna come up with for Armstrong... |

Originally posted by Kirbynite You just said... "I love it, I thought it was alright, I love it" ??? I saw it. Ed doesn't talk like that because of the suit of armor. I saw the subs, he has a normal japanese voice. The suit has nothing to do with it. Sounds like some die hard dub fan is trying to protect it any way he can |

Actually, the subs (for Al) sounded pretty metally. I can't wait until the next episode (I missed the first, ) so I can knock it for every fault that it has.

Your attempt at making me look like some kinda lame person doesn't work on me. I'm an airheaded fool that's highly distracted With that being said, I don't go hunting for anime, unless it's one of those rare cases where it has a connection to me in someway. So, I don't know what subs are like until it's been presented to me. I usually watch anime on tv just because it doesn't consume my internet time hunting down and downloading large. Besides, it was a decent assumption that Al sounds like he's talking with a bucket on his head. The guy doesn't even have a voice box (edited by Kirbynite on 11-11-04 06:09 PM) |

This is my first time seeing it aswell, and I am very surprised. Its my favorite english anime as of now. It was very well done, and I can't stop telling my friends about it. Thomas, it is on Adult Swim I beleive, (I forgot), I have dish, so my tv records everything, so I rarely know what channel my shows are on anymore. And it comes on on Saturday Nights. And once a week I beleive. btw, nice layout. |
