I want to make Mario behaves always like the layer priority was disabled in one specific tile. But this always should go just for some tiles, since others (like pipes) should have the layer priority enabled. Is it possible to make an enemie be affected by layer priority enabled status while Mario is not? Like, the tile behave like enable layer priority for enemies, but in the same time it behaves like layer priority disable for Mario. i'd like to do that due to a level idea i'm implementing in my hack but can't make it successful coz Mario appears behind the tile when he dies, instead of only the enemie i put 'hidden and outside' the tile, which is with layer priority enabled, and it looks really weird. It should be possible considering that's exactly what the pirahna plants do, but it will probably require some ASM just like all the other great ideas that people come up with. (edited by Simon on 09-22-04 04:12 PM) |

I realised that the mushrooms do that on FG tiles. Like, usually when you place a 1up mushroom or any other item in sprite form that get hidden by a wall FG. Can this characteristic be applied to the sprite i'm trying to hide to get this effect (of course in only one specific tile though, and Mario could be the same, itd only affect the sprite i want to hide)?
