OK, some how, my file assocations got messed up, and I have to right click to open a folder. If I double-click, it puts it in the Que list for Winamp. Is there some way to change this in the registry or something?

1) you can try scanning your computer for spyware, adware

2) Go to Folder Options, File Types tab, Find "File Folder" and/or "Folder" check to see if "opens with" is blank. if it isn't, then there should be a way to remove it. if you are unsure of what to do, click on "advanced" button and post a screenshot of the window that pops up

Nope, spyware and adaware are all taken care of. Went to the Folder Options thing, tried that a while back. It has two options, both are pertaining to Winamp, but it doesnt let me delete them. Don't know why. I am thinking I may have to wipe it out and reinstall XP, it has been a while since I did that anyway...

you don't have to delete them but is there an "open" option? if so, why don't you try setting it as default?

Nope, no open option. Just the two Winamp options.

OK, I'm using 98, and it has two different entries: "Folder" and "File Folder." "File Folder" has three actions associated with it: "Enqueue in Winamp," "Play in Winamp," and "Find." "Folder" has two actions: "Explore" and "Open" (with Open being the default action, in bold). I dunno how Windows XP works, but I would think it should look similar. Do you have both "File Folder" and "Folder," or just one?

Windows XP has "open" for file type "Folder"--if you don't have that then um...let me see if I can find the registry key that will produce that...
