Now don't say that about Toad!  I think he is an incredibly underplayed character. The mushroom retainers (is that right?) were there to defend the fort before bowser came along. the should make a game set between Yoshi's island and SMB. about the time period were mario was all but forgotten and boswer was still not old enough to make a successful move on the mushroom kingdomoff topic a tad. sorry but yeah, Waluigi is the worst excuse for a mario character. He was a last ditch effort just like Nebetsu said. |

| SMB2 clearly IS a Mario game, though. Just because it's the same as something that is not a Mario game but with different graphics does not make it not a Mario game. Anyway, Wario. He just seems... Cooler. Waluigi's more malicious, yeah, but Wario's got his own castle. With lots of money. And Nebetsu: Plenty of the Mario Sports titles, as well as Mario Parties 3 and up. First appearance was Mario Tennis. Also, saying he was made just to add to the cast is somewhat stupid. So was Daisy, so were the Koopalings, So was Luigi, so was Wario, so was Kamek, So were a lot of the people in all of the Mario RPGs... The list goes on and on... | yeah, but you gotta admitt Waluigi feels like a good old fashioned rip-off. all the games he has been in have been party games. He never was a villian or hero of sorts, he's just an excuse to balance out the Mario Bros. with the Wario Bros. scheme. | |||

| I have to admit nothing. Is Wario a ripoff because he's just Mario but evil? Not really. There's nothing wrong with giving Luigi a rival equivalent to Mario's Wario. If nothing else it shows that Nintendo's ignoring him less... And just because he hasn't been in any of the main games doesn't mean he won't at some point. There's one single, all-encompassing, leader of the toads that is the personal assistant to Peach during the game. He's the only mushroomer that actually has the name "Toad". He gives you the three Red Essences at Nimbus Land, randomly visits you in your sleep when at hotels, and is the original mushroomer to visit Mario after he gets cast out of Bowser's Castle. That very same guy is also at the very end of the game, selling you supplies for the final battles. Toad, one single solitary redheadded mushroom kingdom citizen, does indeed exist. |

I like the two, but I prefer Wario, because he is the first of the two who I've saw and Waluigi just have played one game with Waluigi: Mario Tennis. In this game, Wario is better. |

| really? I find his design to be out of place. why out of place? i dunno, wish i knew. but i guess if you took dudly dooright's nemisis and fattened him up, you'd have wario, and if you stretched him up you'd have waluigi. |
