Who ever played this game and enjoyed it? I sure did. It was great! What with all the animals... so cool. Take 2 also made a version for the GBC, but it wasn't too popular and was only released in Europe. I played the GBC one, its sorta boring, but I like the N64 one, a lot . Anyone else?

I remember that game. It was a lot of fun. The animals were pimped out. I remember thinking the game was gonna be a lot better from all the previews i read before it came out so i was a little depressed htat it wasn't quite as large as i thought it could've been but it was still a lot of fun.

Originally posted by Nebetsu Oh its great, a slight bitch to emulate, but with the right combination of graphics plugin and system specs, its fine, if you don't mind the opening cinematic looking a little strange. Basically, your a little microchip (evo) and you go through 4 different environments. Europe, snow, jungle, and desert. You never travel as evo, but as evo inserted in a robotic animal. Theres a great variety of animals all with unique abilities, which makes the game last, IMO. I always liked controlling different unique units with a more platform/adventure style rather than a boring RTS or RPG. (not that I don't like rpgs, I love em, just with this style it would suck). So yeah, if you can get your hands on the semi-rare rom, definitely, try it out! The coolest roboanimals from each environment are IMO: Europe: king rat Snow: Seagull... walrus, or polarbear tank jungle: Elephant... lion, and maybe gorilla. oh, and chameleon and hippo.... Desert: vulture. hands down. |

*looks at rom on PC* Haven't touched it yet but it got REALLY good reviews when it came out despite being delayed for a while - it was supposed to be a N64 launch title, and that sure as hell didn't happen. It's on the long-ass list. |

Heh... Fun game. Never managed to get the animal modifier GS code to work, though... And I so wanted to play as the rocket fox. Or perhaps a frog. You never do get to play as a frog. Probably because it's useless... As I was saying... Fun game. Never quite beat it, though... Punch-up Pyramid (if that's the name) and the rail shooter level were hard to do. Heh... The speakers... Genius. |

It's a basic, but I think the best animal in the game had to be the sheep. The generic, floaty hop, totally useless sheep. Why? Your special attack was "Baaaaa..." I also give props to the missile launching dog on wheels, the kangaroo, the high-powered foot rabbit, and any incarnation of the fox. Because the fox is badass. |

Originally posted by Grey Damn straight the fox is badass. Especially the one with wheels. Too bad it gets owned by the bear. And the king rat's army. And the rat on its own. Meh. Now the husky.... spc att: husky frenzy... the bite sfx combined with comical motion... heh. genius. absolute genius. |

Anyway, I remember this game, and how much I enjoyed playing it. Shame my copy is screwed up. (edited by Icy Guy on 09-19-04 09:35 PM) |

I rented that game a few times, it's darn spiffy. I can't play it too well on emulator though, becouse I don't have a controller. Missile dog owns. Some other things do too, but I can't remember too well. |

YES! The missile launching dog on wheels! You DO NOT mess with that guy! Actually, the only real problem I had with that model of the dog was the fact that he couldn't really take a hit... none of the dog models could, so facing off against a bear was tough, especially when it went on a rampage against you. Ah, well, not nearly as dangerous as playing as the mouse on wheels. |

Bah. I had that game, it was alright at first but the later levels just made me want to scream. It's glitchy as hell, and the so-called "control room" they mentioned in the manual - the whole reason I kept playing - doesn't exist! |
