Janus: "Of course it does!"

"Brilliant Modification!!!"

The Tornado wound downward, becoming the approximate size of Janus. Shards of ice joined the flames as lightning coursed around the windstorm, furiously circulating through him....

"Red, Green, and Blue make..... White!!!"

In an instant, the tornado is gone! All that is left is Janus himself, no longer glowing blue, but instead a shining being of white light! His clothes glimmer as storm clouds begin to form around the field. A few drops fall, and thunder can be heard in the background as small spasms of movement flicker here and there on Janus' body. The hauberk shoots pain throughout his every nerve, as the power it sealed inside him slowly begins to release itself, but Janus does his best to ignore it, gradually losing control of his conscious will...

"I... can't do this for very long.... But I've been working for thousands of years to achieve this... It's a fusion of mind and body, my will is working with my structure to circumvent the effects of this blasted armor! Star, I don't know where you are or how you transformed like that, but if you want to kill me, now is the time! I need to die! I need to! Most people live because they have something to live for, but I have lived because I have nothing to die for!

Disaster follows me wherever I go, I can't sleep for a moment without some kind of catastrophe laying waste to the earth around me! I know why, too. It's because they want me dead. They want to get rid of me, because I left them to live my life as it is... But I'm tired of living, I'm tired of living if they destroy everything I love! I just... want... to give in.... So kill me, if you can!"

Already hunched over from the intense pain the hauberk is causing him, Janus shoots towards the Time Elemental, a bright missile of raw power! As he approaches, he swings his hammer with a speed and strength unknown to him previously, having never attained this state before!

Finally, he is mortal.

A look of surprise passes over the Time Elemental's face and he shoots the beam, but the beam barely moves three inches from the staff. It backfire back covering the Time Elemental and the light fades. Star was standing there charging towards Janus now.

"You can travel through time, but you never thought of just destroying the people who caused this problem for you?"

Star held out his sword, but it was obvious time energy was still around him. He began to move choppily as time distorted around him, but he knew no matter how much power he could muster Janus wouldn't go down easily.

Janus: "Grr! I don't know, what do you think?"

Janus's hammer rages downward, cracking the earth in front of it and sending a wave of earth up at Star!

"I've tried! I failed!"

Star jumped over the wave of earth and came down with his sword aimed at Janus in a jump attack. More power flowed through Star and his power increased. He was attempt to be able to fight Janus on the same level, but he couldn't do it quiet yet.

"You failed? How did you fail Janus? You have the power of time on your side!"

Janus: "And so do they...."

As Janus says this, his hammer circles quickly around him, blocking Star's attack! He grabs his hammer, leaps above Star and dives toward him like a falcon!

"Picture someone ten times stronger than me at this level. Now picture five of them! They're the ones who gave me this armor, the ones who made certain that I'd never live a normal life!"

Intentionally missing Star in his dive, Janus rolls along the ground and comes out of his roll flinging his hammer!

"Then imagine this!"

Time energy flowed everywhere around Star, and the hammer stopped in mid air. Star began to transform, but not back into the Time Elemental. After the light was done a new figure stood waiting. The person was a lot like Star, but the armor and weapon was drastically changed. The sword had changed into more of a rapier, and the armor looked like the Time Elemental's robes. Except that it was held close to Star's body as parts of it had armor. The robe didn't flow, but stuck to Star.

"Janus! You accepted your fKitten Yiffer when they made you immortal. You made a mistake, and I am afriad it is to late to change that."

Star let his power off the hammer and it resumed on its crash course with him, but Star held up his shield, which had grown into a full shield instead of a buckler, and the hammer just clanged loudly.

Janus: "That was ages ago!"

He said this right as the hammer clanged off Star's shield, and recalled it.

"Literal ages! Hundreds of thousands of years! Don't think I've wasted this cursed life I lead. I spend every day thinking of ways to beat them, every day making myself stronger. And now this.... Now this! I'm well on my way there, that's for sure. When I get strong enough, I'm gonna take them all on, and show them why they never should have cursed me in the first place!"

Janus turns his back to Star...

"But I'll need help. That's why I called you here today, actually...."

Janus walks over to the amazingly still-intact grave of Agent Red.

"He was there when I first tried. He didn't help me, though. We were enemies back then. But gradually, we grew to be best friends, once I showed him that what he was doing was wrong. I'm going to go back in time again, Star. To get him from where he is now and to take him, as well as Green and Blue, to help me defeat the people who did this to me. There are others I'm going to ask for help, as well. I want to form a team. A group of people to help me destroy the evils in my life, and whom I can help in return. We would all work together to achieve peace in one another's lives."

The white light surrounding Janus fades, as he returns to normal, and his shoulders slump slightly from sheer exhaustion.

"But first, I need to learn to control the power I've discovered within myself. Don't answer me today if you don't want to, Star. I still need time to figure out what to do. Time travel is risky, and taking heroes from all around history would prove extremely dangerous. But if you do want to help me, you can start by gathering allies. We're going to need them. Understand, though, that all of them must be returned to their normal times. Nobody can die here. I think that's enough from me. What do you say?"

Star held onto his new power feeling this new strength, but as Janus talked Star could not only hear the words, but feel Janus's emotions.

"I will help you, but as for allies there are none that I could call on. We have both surpassed everyone that we ever met, and I don't think they would be helpful. There is of course two people that may be reawakened with more power than ever before."

Star stopped shining, but his new armor stayed. He had acieved his own mastery of power. He fused all of the Time Elemental's energy into himself, his original goal, and had become as powerful as he could. He could feel the power barely away from him. He used to have to reach hard for it, but now it seemed as if he could just turn his attention on it and he would have it.

"One of the people I have never met before though, and I don't know if he will even come back. For the other one... She will be hard to find. I heard that she was sealed away... I will work on that for now, you try and learn more about this power of yours. I will be back soon I hope."

Star walked away as he began to recall every person who could actually help.

Janus turns back toward Star, and calls out to him before he manages to leave...

Janus: "Hold it, Star! You're not thinking in the right terms here. There's many more people than just us out there. We can travel across space and time with ease, you and I. That's why I called you of all people. Think about it; Many of our friends are just young fighters, warriors who have not realized their full potential yet. Even I have yet to fulfill this goal, and I doubt I ever will. You, too, can get stronger, Star. We all can. That's the point I was trying to make, we need to find people when they're at their best!"

"This isn't the only universe that exists, you know. Of course you'd know, you can travel through time. Every time we alter some event in the past, the future branches off! Millions of alternate universes exist, with millions of possibilities for allies. I've seen it; you have, too, if I recall correctly. There's a universe out there other than ours, one where we don't exist, where strange things happen that we'd never imagine! Have you ever heard of Kirbynite, the Dreamlander? What about Melvin, President of Japan? Of course not, because they don't exist in this universe! But if we find some way to travel across universes, to find these people and make them our allies, then I know we can form a team strong enough to defeat the evil that plagues me, and soon the rest of our world, so! And in return, I'll help whoever I can. It's worth that much to me."

Janus extends his hand, shakes Star's before he can resist, and smiles, finishing his speech.

"Thank you for your partnership, I feel as though I have a reason to live now."

He grips his hammer, and it glows slightly. Swinging it, he opens a hole in time and space, but says one last sentence before he steps though...

"Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go speak with Schwa...."

"You are right of course, but you seem to forget that most of the people we have ever met are arrogant and think they are the strongest. Everyone I knew either stopped fighting before their best or just were to arrogant, but I would rather not have to bend and rebend time like I used to."

Star walked away heading for a shine on almost the other side of the world. Even if the supposed hero wasn't there the swords would be more than helpful. And as for her... She would still be there no matter what.
