Janus: "Shit."

He knew exactly what that thing was; he didn't like it one bit. Forgetting about the V-Watch for the time being, Janus knew he had to get drastic. From his bag, he whipped three games, hoping to use them all and get exactly what he wanted.

The first game, a disc, he began scanning very frantically, hoping to find the move he was looking for.

The other two, a small square cartridge and a larger, rectangular one, were placed in the pocket of his pants. This was gonna take some time...

The time elemental had pleanty of time to wait. Every few seconds that went by his new weapon was going to become stronger and eventually it would serve its purpose just right. The staff had shunken to just short of the time elementals hight, but still he worked on it as he waited on Janus.

Janus: "Grrr.... Getting a bit close here... But that's one!"

The disc breaks open! Janus' new technique is as yet unrevealed, as he takes the square cartridge and begins studying it frantically, as well.

"Your almost out of time... Another minute and I will be done, will you?"

The time elemental kept using the same method and soon his staff was near completion. The wood had stayed black but seemed to glow with a faint grey. The time elemental was complete with his work and looked towards Janus expecting him to be done.

Another broken disc! Two techniques down, one more to go... Janus grabs the larger rectangular device and scans it...

Janus: "One minute? Just as long as I need!"

OOC: Actually, it's been out for awhile... You have a problem with Viewtiful Joe? I liked it a lot. But the V-Watch idea actually came from Melvin...

OOC I just thought they were going to let at least one game be GC only...

"Your time is up and I hope you are done, because you are about to die."

The Time Elemental suddenly disappears, of course it was all just an illusion. The Time Elemental was charging Janus and as he made it about half way it was easy to tell, but if Janus looked around he would realise that there was a Time Elemental comming at him from every direction. Time distorted around him as he steadily increased speed and power.

Janus: "Perfect. That's three techniques."

Janus grabs his hammer and drills into the ground to avoid the charge! Popping out of the ground as his third cartridge breaks, he assumes a meditative position and stares the Time Elemental down.

"That was close. Too close. What's more, I'm still not ready yet!"

Janus needs more time! Time........

All the Time Elementals joined back together in the spot where Janus had been. The Time Elemental just pointed his staff at Janus and a beam shot out of it heading for Janus.

"This will give you all the time you need, but I don't know if you can use it. As it will most likely just feeze you in time."

The Time Elemental started laughing. It was already proven that no one could kill him as even Star failed. As soon as he could rid himself of Star he could get even stronger making him truely undefeatable. He just had to find out the right way to do it and maybe if he killed Janus he could find a way to kill Star.

Janus: "Ah, yes, that gives me an idea... *ahem* Freeze it."

Janus stepped outside the flow of time. Time kept moving, but it moved without him for a good instant. In this instant, in Janus' perspective, Time stopped. The beam of energy stopped. Janus stopped, then realized he could move. The Time Elemental didn't stop. Shit. The Time Elemental was supposed to stop. Why didn't he stop? That's not really a good thing. I mean, the time beam stopped, Janus is still moving so he was able to get out of the way, but what the heck? The Time Elemental was supposed to stop too... Oh, right, time attacks don't hurt something that has total control over the flow of time. Anyway, I should stop mindlessly bantering and start narrating again.

Janus moved out the the way of the beam, perplexed at the Time Elemental's inability to be affected by his Sidestep! Janus can certainly move outside the normal flow of time, but does this creature exist outside the flow of time? He wonders.... And even as time resumes its normal pace, casting a sidelong glance at Janus and mumbling "eh, whatever..." under its breath, Janus' attack is still not ready yet!

OOC: Sorry for controlling your character here a bit, I kinda figured he wouldn't really be affected by Janus Sidestepping, so I just went with the idea.

"Hmmmm.... Nicely done I will have to remember that one."

The Time Elemental was obviously more curious than surprised, but he took up another charge at Janus with his staff. When he got close enough to Janus he thrusted forwrad and with a fluid motion did a horizantal swing.

"Still, no matter what you do I will win."

This thing was definitely faster than Janus, which is surprising, considering how fast Janus is. Either way, Janus was caught heavily off guard. Managing to dodge the thrust with relative ease, he was knocked hard to the side by the horizontal swing and sent flying. The fact of the matter is, he's just too tired! He is knocked to the ground, skidding. As he looks up, he notices the tombstone sitting next to him...

Janus: "Damn... I'm gonna die again... Heh, I bet Red's turning in his grave right now. He didn't die of old age..."

Janus picks himself up, and continues thinking hard. He's almost got an idea, but it's risky. Very, very risky.

"At least try and fight me or you won't be around much longer. That armor of yours will eventually be destroyed and if I have to I will just age it till it is destroyed and then spread your body through time. It ussually doesn't kill an immortal, but it always hurts."

The Time Elemental pointed his staff at Janus again and another greyish-white beam shot towards him. This one was much like the attack Star used though and wouldn't try and freeze Janus in time, but it would hurt a lot.

Janus let the beam hit him. He was sent flying backward, and wearily picked himself up. His eyes were glowing that eerie blue color...

Janus: "He.... Hehe... I finally got an idea......

In a flash, Janus' eyes grow brighter than ever! As a brilliant blue light envelops him, he doubles over, trying to control the power that's giving off the light. An inner struggle is fairly obvious at this point; it seems, however, that Janus has it under control. Suddenly, he straightens up as an azure glow erupts from him, showering the area in light! As the light spreads around him, he cries out!

"Brilliant Modification!!!"

When the light dies down, Janus can be seen clearly, a sky-blue aura around him, his hammer pointed directly at the Time Elemental! (at this point, Alkaiser's theme can be heard playing faintly in the background)

"I suppose at this point I might as well explain what I've been doing this whole time...

I borrowed techniques from three games, as you could probably see. From the first game, Kingdom Hearts, I took Ars Arcanum, an attack that will get successively stronger the more I hit with it. The second game, Pokemon Red, gave me a particularly devastating attack, Hyper Beam! The only problem there would be the long time I'd need to charge up and use it, and there's every chance that it'll miss. But that's ok, because the third attack, from Super Mario RPG, Psych Bomb, will take care of that quite easily! Simply put, by combining those three techniques together, I've developed an attack that will spray a spread of bombs that should give bigger, more rocking explosions as it hits! Of course, it needs a name... Let's see........"

While he's thinking of a name, and giving this long winded explanation, Janus has yet to realize he's wide open to attack....

OOC: Just wait it out, you'll see what happens when Janus gets cocky.

OOC I figured as much no really I did... (ok no I didn't...)

The Time Elemental just stares Janus down. He could have interupted Janus at multiple stages, but decided not to. Now he might have trouble on his hands, unless of course he could somehow trick Janus into attacking himself when the attack was at its strongest. It was risky, but right now there was no other choice.

"You won't live long enough to do that attack even once. Even if you manage to get a hit I will have died of old age."

The Time Elemental dashed foward towards Janus at a high speed. He altered time to make himself move faster in an effort to copy one of Janus's earlier attacks. Of course the Time Elemental had physical strength to back up the attack so it should be more devastating. (Plus he didn't have the ridiculous spandex and that is always a plus)

Janus: "Ah, I got it! Hyper... Psycho... Arcbomb!.......or something... Hell, forget it..."

The attack executed! Expecting a large ray of explosive fury? Well, too bad. Here's what actually happened:

Janus can't pick and choose his techniques. The near-immediate execution of a strange combination of Growl, Strike Raid, and Geno Flash is enough to prove that.

The attack came out something like this: From the front of Janus' bag, an opening in the satchel ripped. Out popped a cannon, rainbow colored, quite like Geno's Flash cannon. It fired, sending out a huge shockwave of sound directly at the Time Elemental. If it hits, it'll send the Time Elemental flying backward, at which point the soundwave should boomerang backward at the Elemental, and, unfortunately, straight at Janus, too. Regardless of what happened to the Elemental, Janus was of course hit dead on by his attack, which ripped through him and utterly devastated his internal systems, caused his V-Watch to explode, and did absolutely nothing to his armor. Janus dropped to the ground, stunned, and more than likely severely hurt.

Janus: "......ow...."

The Time Elemental was still dashing recklessly when the attack came, and didn't have time to move himself out of the way. The speed the Time Elemental had was used against him as he smacked into the attack very hard. The attack couldn't instantly throw him back as his momentum was still moving forward. The Time Elemental was finally thrown back hard from the attack, but somehow managed to land on his feet. He was obviously effected greatly from the attack, and most of his robe was singed. Still he managed to stand though, but not able to truely move.

"What the hell was that? You could have killed yourself with that..."

Janus' entire body is shaking as he glows blue, bringing himself to his feet and trying to keep a focused stare at the Time Elemental.

Janus: "Ya see.... that's the thing... I couldn't have!"

Janus grips his hammer and whirls around, forming a swirling tornado! However, rather than release it, he spins faster and faster, causing the whirlwind to become a high-speed cyclone! The Time Elemental will feel the wind from it, that's for sure, but at this point, nothing more. Yet.

The Time Elemental does indeed feel the wind, and he prepares himself for what could happen. He doubted that either had enough strength to control any attack that went out of control, so the Time Elemental figured that this attack was indeed just that. The Time Elemental dashed towards Janus with his staff and did a might forward thrust cutting through the wind for a split second, but the Time Elemental lost control as the wind blew his attack off balance. He missed Janus clearly, but used the wind to glide away.

The cyclone continued to rage into a full-blown tornado!

Janus: "There's a bit more to it than what you see here!"

"Red's Fire!!!"

The tornado becomes enveloped in flames, which surround Janus, forming a type of protective shield for the time being. The tornado, however, does nothing to the Time Elemental. Small sparks of lightning can be seen around the sides of the tornado, suggesting that fire isn't the only thing this windstorm is packing...

"Interesting...."

The Time Elemental backed away from the tornado making sure he wouldn't be sucked into the vortex.

"Now, does this do anything?"

The Time Elemental held out his staff and started focusing energy on it. He was prepared to rip Janus completely out of time and not just to let him step out. The energy stopped showing any growth after just a small point on the end of the staff.
