| Above, the sky is filled with swaths of shimmering, ever-changing lights, an aurora that extends from horizon to horizon. Below lies a twilight bowl filled with uncountable stars of every colour, thick as grains of sand in a windstorm. This is the luminous infinity that is the Plane of Radiance. Running between these endless extremes is the magnificent, mysterious structure known as the Rainbow Bridge, a multicoloured, multibranched ribbon of enormous length that stretches through the largely empty space of the plane. At various points it curves, bends up or down, and forks and rejoins. The Rainbow Bridge connects innumerable fixed islands, accumulations of solid matter that statically float within the plane. Even more rare are the drifting islands, which are not connected to the Bridge but instead coast about on planar winds. A fair distance from any island, a black-winged angel floats in the air, wings wrapped around himself. He simply drifts randomly in the air in thought. "Ah, this is nice. Not to hot or too cold, no gravity, no noise, and I'm too far from an island to be affected by its gravity." |

| Star seemed to warp in, but he was obviously confused. He quickly looked around him wondering where he was and how he got here. He began to wonder if this was the afterlife. He had felt death in his last fight, but he still had his body. Star shouted not seeing anybody, "Where is this and what is this place!" Star now saw the dark angle and stepped back in surprise. A thought came through his head, "So I really am dead. Heh he was right, I couldn't keep it up." Star jumped from the bridge and floated towards the angle hoping to be answered. He had never thought what would happen when he died, but he continued on not worring about this issue now. |

| Having heard the man's outcry, the angel replies without moving. "This is the Plane of Radiance. As for where we are in the Plane, Prisme is a good ten miles that way." The angel pointed out towards the horizon. "Other than that, I don't really know my way around here." | |||

| "What are you talking about...?" Star looked around not know what the person was talking about. He had taken out his shield because he had a suspecion. "What do you mean? Just tell me how to get back to the normal place." Star looked around and noticed there was no gravity. He had a look on him like he was going insane. |

| "Well yes and no... I travel time a bunch, but I have never truely been in another physical plane. To much work you know. Anyways tell me how to get back." Star's time energy seemed to be going away as he didn't have as good control here as he did in other places. He couldn't retain all his powers, but he had more than enough for time travel if it was required. |

| "Time travel won't help any here. To leave, you'd either need plane shifting magic, or to wait for a rainbow passage. The only ones I know of are temporary. So, you're stuck here until one shows up." The angel looked around, before seeing the Rainbow Bridge. "All passages connect to that bridge." He pointed at the Rainbow Bridge. |

| The angel streched his arms, a three foot blade appearing in each hand. "Sure. It's been a while since I've had a good spar. First to ask quarter, right?" Knowing this plane's lack of gravity when over one hundred feet away from any island or the Bridge, the angel allowed himself to drift 180 degrees, so that Star appeared upside down in his vision. "By the way, I should introduce myself. I'm Nijiru. Hope you can fly." |

| "Heh heh... I hope I can too..." Star slashed out at Nijiru with his sword, but learned the hard way that he couldn't fight very well here. He quickly shot a lighting bolt to even him out and shot another to get him back to the bridge. "This isn't going to be easy..." Star waited on the bridge preparing for Nijiru's attack. |

| "Damn I can't he is to fast I can't hit him at this rate..." Star jumped off the bride and used his hand to swing to the other side. He flipped thinking that he would just land on it and gravity would take over, but he was wrong and kept floating. He was surprised and grabbed the edge of the bridge. | Nijiru quickly lands on the bridge, a good twenty feet away from Star. Holding both his blades at his sides, he tells Star, "If I stay in the air, this duel will be too easy." Shifting so that he's at the center of the 15 foot wide bridge, he continues. "I like a challange." | |||

| "Good, I was almost ready to shoot you down..." Star charged Nijiru with his sword and about half way through the chrage jumped into the air. Star came down hard trying to get at NIjiru with a powerful jump attack. Star's blade had the reflection from the road, and it shined outwards. Star almost hesitated half way through his attack at this odd sight. |

| Nijiru quickly raises both blades over his head, crossed, to block Star's attack. He then quickly drops to one knee and rolls forwards, under Star and behind him, spinning with a sword swing to his back. | |||

| Star quickly turned and managed to get his shield up to stop from being killed, but he lost his balance and fell to the ground. He rolled over backwords and leaped up. "Nice." Star shot a lightning bolt a Nijiru and had his sword out for parrying. A smile appeared across Star's face as not many fight with blades anymore. |

| Shifting to block with Yami, Nijiru blocked with the sword, spirit not being a good conductor for electricity. The sword then shifted length to that of a knife. He threw the knife at Star, and followed closely on foot with Hikari, which was now the length of a katana and held in both hands. As he got within three feet, he swung down with a two-handed cleave. | |||

| Star saw the knife comming deflected it with his sword, as for the second attack Star managed to get his shield between him and the blade. The viberations shook Star as the shield would take a lot more than the katana. Star back flipped and jumped towards Nijiru with another jump attack. "Let's get this truely started!" |

| Nijiru rolled back twice, Star's blade striking the Bridge before him. As Nijiru regained his footing, he held out his left hand and the thrown knife reappeared in it. He dropped both his hands to his side as he thought, He's pretty good at blocking with that shield. Let's see if he can handle this. Nijiru flapped his black wings once, lifting slightly off the ground as both his swords changed back to kodachi. With another flap, he launched himself towards Star faster than he could have on foot, attacking with both blades at once. |

| Star put his sword forward and a lightning bolt flew from it. He was in a relaxed position and as he shot the lightning bolt his body tensed and lightning began to arch between his feet and sword. "Don't think it will be that easy..." Star watched Nijiru knowing that if he dodged he would be completely open to an attack. |
