i whipped on a new post layout, because my other one was just horrid. the picture is of the fallen angel; who was once the Bearer of Light and one of god's most beloved angels.

The spliced piece of the engraving was done by one of my favorite artists, Gustave Dore, and is titled simply and aptly: Satan Falling. I couldn't decide between this, and another great peice of art by William Blake.

the "sunlight wings" is just a pink floyd reference which i thought would tie in nicely with the picture, and you can view it by holding your mouse over. yay for the < acronym > tag

It looks very nice... only one problem though.

The picture and the post box is split in two Theres a blue line going through it, and it splits the picture in half.

Everything else is great

At rediculous resolutions (or anything around 1280x1024) that picture begins to get disjointed and at an insane one (1280x1024 at 20% zoom) it is completely apart. Whoops.

Also, the text is blinding white. God damnit. I have to highlight it to read it ... argh ...

[Edit 1]
Here's a tip: STOP BEING LAZY AND TYPE OUT ALL OF THE GODDAMN 0'S.

Not only does not doing so make Opera (and I assume some other browser) display this as blinding white it's just plain stupid. Just hit 0 5 more times. Gad.

[Edit 2, after re-reading the layout source]
THIS IS NOT A HTML FILE, DO NOT USE <BODY>

[Edit 3, after further investigating source]
I congradulate you on the most annoying to figure out layout of all time. I could do that with 4 TD's and 2 TR tags. Jeez...

[Edit 4, after editing the post again and noticing something disturbing]

the layout does not become disjointed on my machine at any of those resolutions running FireFox.

1] all of the goddamn 0's where? i was unaware there was a spot in my layout that i skimmed on zeros.

2] done

3] i had taken it from a larger layout which actually needed most of the rows, i was too lazy to change it

4] done

Get rid of that line and change your text box and color of its back ground and youll have one awesome layout!

You really need some padding on your text, because the borderhugging is very annoying in your layout.
Did you customize blockquote and links, or left them at the board's default?
If you did change them, could you demonstrate it please?

I like the way your picture overlaps your text area. the colors match together, and that alone is a big plus around here lately <<;
and the 0's he's probably refering to is the hex value for your font color. You should always type that out fully <<;

I really like the way the Angel is diving into your text box but it just seems tacky for the box to be white, I would suggest a color similar to those clouds so that it all blends together.

Looks a little big, but not that much of a problem. I wonder how It looks like when I switch to my second screen resolution (1600 * 1200)

Whoops.

There are quite a few problems with that layout I found just from the source. Don't be surpsied about it not working in this, I tried one of my old ones (worked fine in Opera) and it was completely destroied in IE (two of them, actually)

It's no big suprise, it's just that... yuck. I don't think you fixed the color=0 problem, either.

Edit: Oh, shit, evidently my entire desktop got copied. Fuck. Oh well, it's still only 700 KB
