I'm usually reading Dragon Lance, or some online books I found, written by Kouri (That's the only name she gives, I don't know her real one). She's basically got around 50-150 novels and short stories, which I have become completely obsessed with. I tend to get really irritable if I haven't read anything for more then a few days. ~Delial |

I ought to read more than I do now. When I was in high school I read a lot of "classic" and modern novels, some for fun but mostly for school credit. Of late I've mostly read Greek plays, such as those by Euripides and Aristophanes. If you've never read it you ought to read The Scarlet Letter. It's probably the best book I've ever read. The language can be a bit thick b/c it's a bit old, but definitely worth it. Lots of books by Steinbeck are good but they can get a bit redundant after you've read a few. And if those all sound boring to you just read some books by Kurt Vonnegut (jr.) I'd recommend Cat's Cradle. |

I used to be in high school... Would spend lunch sometimes in the library reading this and that. My love for books has waned, though... Even though I have stuff like LotR here just begging to be read. |

GRR Martin, his A Song of Ice and Fire series: A Game of Thrones A Clash of Kings A Storm of Swords and (not published yet ) A Feast For Crows Just damn good fantasy books. I got the English versions and these three masterpieces brought me into a "English-books-only"-phase. The last three books I read were all from Dan Brown, in that order: The Da Vinci Code -> Digital Fortress (just damn good and thrilling) -> Angels & Demons and currently reading Deception Point. As for my all time favourite, Martin and Tolkien share the first place since I prefer fantasy just slightly before science-fiction. Then comes Timothy Zahn with some of his really nice Star Wars books - especially I like the opponent General Thrawn - he's intelligent and not that easy fiend like in any other series of sci-fi books |

Has anybody read books by David Eddings? Gawd, they are the BEST books ever. Try reading the books called the Elenium. It starts off with a book called "The Diamond Throne" I havent' gotten to reading his first series yet. However, he has some of the BEST characters ever. Sparhawk shall rule thee. |

Ahh... Edgar Allen Poe, I haven't read much of his work, but from what I have I do like. My favorite of his work would have to be "20 Years Later" a really cool story, you cold probably find it online and read it. |

Originally posted by Shadic Yup I've read those, although i think the folowing series, The Tamuli is much better. David Gemmel (sp?) is also a very good writer, as is Robin Hobb, if you like fantasy. |

I really love the Tamuli, I used it in my shop-floor exercise when I had my interview at Waterstones. I tried reading some of his other stuff though but I couldn't get into it. I might look into 'The Elder Gods' though because that looks pretty interesting. Right now I'm reading the Banned and the Banished series, but I can't remember the author's name for the life of me. |

I haven't been too much into books lately. I read one or 2 books..no wait..that was manga..but I did read 1 book called "Blue Solitude" or something like that by Cythia Voight..that might have been it. It was decent and slow in the beginning. That book I didn't have to read for school or anything. I was just that bored..I've been reading a lot more than before though . | |||

Jack Whyte is the man. Sorry for the short post, but historical fiction rules. Like Robert Graves. Totally sweet. |
