Sometimes I'll open up my QuickBasic 4.5 thing and start making stuff. It's fun! =D!

I learned how to do it when I was in grade 4. lol. It's not that hard... >.>

Also: are there any tutorials on it?

PRINT "pwnzor. press a button for no reason."

SLEEP
SCREEN 13 ' Best screen mode ever.

1
FOR i = 16 TO 31
LOCATE 12,15
COLOR i
PRINT "whoo, fading text"
FOR de = 1 TO 5000: NEXT
k$ = INKEY$
IF k$ = "q" THEN SYSTEM
NEXT
GOTO 1

Does that answer the question?

And nope, sorry, I dont' know many good tutorials outside of QbasicNews (do a google search, dammit)... they've got a lot of newbie FAQs (which aren't for newbies after about Ch2 or so )

CMED (my Crystal Mines editor) was written completely in QuickBASIC, so...

There are hundreds, if not thousands, of QuickBasic sites on a thing called the "Web". A thing called "Google" may help you in your quest to find these "sites".

QuickBasic is a nice beginner's language. I learned on it...

I remember messing with QBasic in grade 4 too. I'd make programs that print endless strings of random numbers and fake error messages, and people would freak out.

I did that too! XD. I also made a fake DOS prompt that would laugh at you with the PC speaker if you would do anything. Good times.

I learned QBasic after Visual Basic and some C++, so I had made an entire game on my first day of downloading a compiler and tutorial

Quickbasic Extended (what my layout happens to be ripped from) has a compiler built-in (it's also what I made CMED with, heh)

I only know one location of a (free) download and I'm not telling

That's because a free version of QuickBasic 7.1 (or extended as you call it) would be illegal.

I dabble around in QB sometimes for hacking porpoises (ruby title screen editor anyone?) and recently made a use-at-own-risk memory editor (I poke things) that made Windows crash out QB.
