| Uhm...Thunder type moves don't work as well on Pokemon that aren't of the same type. That's one of the main reasons I wouldn't use Thunder...Thunderbolt maybe...but only on a Nidoqueen...and regardless...Ice Beam would be way more of an asset (with a chance of freezing and the fact that Ice kicks ass in that game). | |||

...oh yes thunderbolt would work bother. Damn I forgot about the accuracy.  When I play I actually even avoid moves that aren't 100 accurucy, numbers like 70 accurucy feels more like 40. |

| Rhydon sucks. He just does. He was never decent ofr much except MAYBE defense in r/b. But everyone and they dog is better than him now, and a freeking Gloomk could be its demise. | I think he can...if I'm not mistaken...I'm pretty sure I gave that to him in my Gold version (Ampharos). I'd still pick Starmie over Lanturn though....that or Octillery. Lanturn is a decent Thunder/Water combo that you don't see too often but it still doesn't kill the competition of those two Psychic/Waters. Octillery...shit...you get a Remoraid up to Lv. 22 he learns Psybeam, Bubblebeam, Aurora Beam at the same time...that's probably the best mid-level attacks in the game...and his special runs to about 300 if you're lucky at Lv. 100 Octillery. I'm not sure about the other stats...but I remember they weren't half bad. Starmie at Lv. 100...lived and died by it since Blue...and it's only been getting better and better. |

| no no, you can battle. The RS battle music is all there so it works out, too. Thing of it is, Red's graphics, as well as Blue's (yes, that's her official name..am I the only Pocket Monsters Adventures fan here? Great manga it was ) aren't in RS, yes Brendan and May's are in Fire Red's. I guess you can't be completly backwards compatible ;x |

no. you CAN trade between them.  Okay. The games are compeltly compatible. You just need to reach the point in the game which allows you to acess the international Pokedex, so that you can trade with the other version. Asside from that, I'm near certain battling with RS/Collouseum (and Probably trading with colloseum) is perfectly functional before then.(edited by MajinBlueDragon on 09-04-04 01:06 PM) |

| Just think how easy the game would be if you COULD trade early on. Gold/Silver let you trade too early from Red/Blue, in my experience. Certainly before the Elite Four. All it took was an Articuno to beat everything they threw at me. Still, one could argue that just because the option is there, doesn't mean you have to take it. You can choose to play the game "normally", or "cheat" your way through. Bit of a gray area, really. But I do think Fire/Leaf's system is a decent one. After all, gone are the days when beating the Elite Four is the end of the game. |

It's Lugia, Ho-oh and Deoxys that can be found. Mew, Celebi, and Jirachi aren't in the game. It starts to feel like a Ruby/Sapphire remake after a while.  |
