Wrong forum...but Beastie Boys, with the Notorious B.I.G. coming in second. I've like the Beastie Boys since forever, because of, well, what else is there? Lyrics and the beat. Same with Biggie, although he could freestyle the pants off people. |

I'm willing to bet anyone here that I can find at least one underground rapper who will convert them competely to good hip hop. I'm serious. My AIM is ryset mist. I'll file send to anyone who wants. My favorite rapper has and most likely will always be Aesop Rock. Saul Willaims and Gift of Gab follow closely, but simply can't match those sexy clever spits. |

(pours 40's for those who've gone too soon) Aside from the obvious, I love where Mos Def comes from... that and his voice. And if Outkast hasn't transcended rap totally yet, throw them in too. Oh, and you MUST remember Tribe Called Quest. I think I've got some Gift of Gab on a Quannum Projects comp somewhere... not sure, but I'll have to check. |

Damn, it seems like I can never settle on one pick on these things. I like Eminem, Tupac, Snoop Dogg, and Biggie. Whoever I decide to put on depends on what mood i'm in, and how high the bass is in my car.

Originally posted by merc It's true. He showed me that there was in fact some good rap out there. As for me, Saul Williams. Merc introduced me to him, and it's just good rap without all the crap you find in mainstream stuff. That, and "Release" is one of the greatest songs ever. |

His music's electronica, but he raps...so I guess I will say Mike Skinner/The Streets. I love that shit. And I really love OutKast's latest, especially The Love Below. I'm told to check out Cee-Lo's newest album. When I asked my friend what he's like, he had this to say: "Think of Andr (edited by Abnormal Freak on 03-19-04 12:09 AM) |

My favorite rappers are 2Pac, Dr. Dre, Lil Jon, Ludacris and of course, Elephant Man. I like the music of Elephant Man. He' s Jamaican and his songs are absolutely great, but the new song from Usher is great, too. BTW: It's the song Yeah! |

I like 50 Cent aka Curtis Jackson. I didn't like him that much at first, but he kind of grew on me. His beats aren't annoying like most rap and he's got some good lyrics too. And despite popular belief, he's not new. He's had a few albums out now. The only problem was that whenever he was about to make the big time, his producer would get in trouble. ""Think of Andr |

I'm not a big listener of rap, but if I had to choose, I'd say Run D.M.C. I don't know. They just seem to be the only rap act that I can begin to tollerate.

Pst/Q A swedish rapper, although he raps in swedish, he's godlike. I believe you could find a couple of songs if you search at Kazaa (which is evil). My personal favourite by him is the song "Jag -97", which was made in, -97 ;P |
