Well, here it goes. Version 0.70 is available on the Egg Vine webpage, with the hosting provided by Jesper.

Webpage link (Ugly if you use Internet Explorer. Stop using Internet Explorer).

Egg Vine should be almost completely self explanitory.

Small note:
The cross-section mode feature won't do anything without having certain changes to the data files. Not all slopes are marked in the data files to be used. Check DataFormats.txt if you would like to make said changes.

Other than that, as I said, the program is pretty simple.
Make sure you use Yoshi's Island v1.0 (U).smc!

Have fun, and feel free to ask questions as needed. I'll be around.

Eh? What do I do? Whenever I choose to Open Yoshi's Island, I get this "This is bad," error, saying something about "WEIRD error" and Object FE thinks it's type0" or something.

Oh, I'm sorry, I forgot to mention this since I've said it so often:

You must use Yoshi's Island v1.0 (U).
*edits into first post*

Clockworkz - You need the VB Runtimes.

Kawa - Thanks.

Theres a looping issue when loading a rom, I had to go extract the smc file from my YI rom (which is zipped) so I close the open dialogue. A message box appears and says "please select a valid rom" and then loops back to the open dialogue. So if the user doesn't want to open a rom, they can't! Well I guess if someone downloads this, it makes no sense why they wouldn't have the rom .

Anyway, what a nice interface, heh, fetch a badger, LOL.

The open dialogue will only loop when starting the program. I can make it quit if cancel is pressed, however. That'll show up next release.

Very funny, Elixer.

Two days ago, this program didn't even have a standard Open box! I did some of the UI stuff and I'm partly to blame for a smaller delay (10-15 minutes). You know how all previous screenshots had the controls tight up to the window frame, and now they're padded? That's me. You know how previous screenshots had an EggVine menu and yet no Level menu, and now it has a Level menu and no EggVine menu? That's me. You know how he has hosting that's actually decent nowadays? That's me too.

But most importantly, you know the amazing editing stuff this program does? That's all Squash Monster. And I know I sure as hell appreciate it. Thanks, SM, for the amazing work!

I'm going to check this out, though in no way do I hack any SMW game, YI, or any others.

It works! Well, I like it, to say the least! Good job! I just find it a little difficult to follow without the object and sprite visualizations. That's all.

It's a really nice editor. However, I do find one thing annoying me a lot. On the screen exits (using Mouseover), it lists the coordinates in Decimal. However, the Mouse Position is listed in Hexadecimal. Could you please switch one or the other of these 2? (Or is there an option on how the screen exits or mouse position is listed?)

Edit:
It also appears that objects and screen exits at the very top of the screen cannot be seen with the mouse-over.

Edit 2:
It appears I was wrong previously, screen exits are clickable/editable while working with objects. It also lists the exits in Hex, which is much easier to deal with than Decimal (for me, anyway - and that's because of how the mouse coordinates are listed).

While it appears I can work around these two minor inconveniances, perhaps you could look into making these changes, or allowing them to be an option, in a future release?

Some decimal stuff slipped through? Yeah, I'll fix it next release. Thanks for pointing it out.
