Most of the time, but not always, when I start up windows it runs Explorer twice, being that there is one system tray, and if you move it out of the way, there's an other one underneath...this is mostly a minor annoyance but I would like to get rid of it... here's what i did: checked the startup Folder-no problems Checked computer with antivirus-no problem Checked computer with spybot -no problem started computer in safe mode, Only one explorer ran hope this can be resolved |

Check your C:\WINDOWS\WIN.INI file... This sounds like an odd problem. Think of its advantages: Show off to your friends |

If that antivirus isn't up to date, I'd check it with HouseCall and see if it doesn't find anything. That's screwed up enough to make me think that's a virus. | |||

Actually, I'd suggest going into "run" (WinKey + R, or run on the suck menu)... run "msconfig" Startup, then see what's running there. There are other places to look but that lists them... just look for Explorer listed and if it is, uncheck it. |
