Having taken 6 years of french you start to pick up on "non standard" things that francophones do when typing. For instance, Rox 4 Ever uses "chu" for "je suis" apparently. I tried saying "chu" like "shyoo" as it is probably intended and it sounds nothing like "je suis". Oh well, maybe a local accent in Quebec. When you get stuff like "g t tr

Hmm..I didnt' take french. It would have been interesting but I don't know anyone around here who speaks it fluently so I took spanish. Plus I need to know mi own language.

Hmm..isn't english the one ass backwards? At first I thought it was just spanish..french has some words I recognize from spanish..kinda.

French and Spanish are both Romance languages (descended from Latin) along with Romanian and Italian. That makes them quite similar, though definitely distinct languages.

Yeah, I thought it had something to do with the Romance language thing but I just couldn't remember the name of how they classified them or whatever. I'll study french next maybe after I got spanish down to almost fluent..which could help

Oh it'll definitely help. I have a friend who speaks spanish, and I can understand her most of the time since I know french. She doesn't understand when I talk french, though... probably because I talk way too fast and then start mixing words up

I can read French VERY well and make out almost 90% of all the words and make sense of them. The sad thing is, when I speak or write it...My weakness shows. Kind of like Chinese. I can read it well, and speak it well. But be damned if I can understand what other people are saying.

Almost all countries that end in 'e' are feminine nouns. I think.

Yes, this what it means. The direct translation would be: Do you want to sleep with me tonight.
