I directed a friend to my posting so he could see my fancy-pants background and text formatting and he saw nothing but text....

I inquired and found how he was using IE, while I was using firefox.

So I took a screenshot of the thread with IE and with Firefox and to my surprise I found out that Firefox shows the formatting, but IE does not!!!

Examples:

IE
Firefox

So what's going on? Am I missing something (or rather, are my unfortunate IE friends?)...?

even then, make sure you check your layout in both IE and atleast one alternate browser, because alot of things that are IE compatible fuck up in any other browser.

I know the feeling -.-;
The problem with IE is it allows invalid coding, among other things <<;
Though I don't think your layout could pose much of a problem in it. It's a nice one, btw, very relaxing picture.

It's alright if it works in Firefox, though I suppose you could avoid transparent .png files for the time being since they aren't all that useful and aren't supported in IE (for no reason at all).

THere is a slight chance (noting the xpsp2 in there) that they FINALLY added transparent PNG support, but I doubt it.

Also note that transparent PNGs will have all PNG transparancy levels defaulted to 100% trans in IE, so that may be why.

If that stupid IE wasn't such a piece of shit, I'd rip apart that layout and use it as my desktop background. That's actually pretty damn nice. =)

Hmm...
