Originally posted by Xeogred Sorry but you're wrong. You see, what made him go crazy is when he finds out about the mutants in the Mako Reactor in Nibelheim. He then finds out that he's one of them and then freaks out. Later, he find out that his Mother his Jenova, which makes him thinks that he's an Ancient. Even later, he deducted that by bringing the Meteor to destory part of the planet, he could get lots of power.
This part was easy to understand, IMO. Cloud has been too much in contact with Mako, which didn't help his already weak mind. Then, the Jenova's cells in him kept confusing him and that's why he need to "Find Himself" |

FFVII:International was a rerelease of the game in Japan with the US/PAL additions put in it. As for the topic... I never really got into the game, so I'm in little position to judge. |

I liked VII's Materia system, that was the best part and I wish they carried that over to other final fantasy games. I don't really think people overrate this game as much as they used to. IMO, some parts of it are better than systems used in later games. it's a very good game, the storyline is great, with some minor things left unsaid, but I like it better that way since it let's your imagination take it from there. like I said, materia is the best part IMO. |

I think materia would have beenw ay better if certain characters couldnt equip certain materia. for example, only Tifa nad Yuffie should be able to equip Theif.. Aeris, Red, and Cloud can equip Cure Materias.. that sort of thing. the problem with the mteria system was that it meant that all the characters could be the same. So choose characters was a matter of choosing who you liked the best, as apposed to who was more usefull. Also, it took away from the strategy of battles quite a bit. |
