I say FFT. I'll go into an in-depth analysis of why later. Though I haven't sunk my teeth into FF6 yet, so for me it's more between FF7 and FFT. Although FF7 was my first major entrance into gaming, and it has a special place for me, FFT was what I thought to be the better game with it's superior storyline..

Anyway, what do you guys think?

FFT had a solid, logical storyline. So I'll say that.

FF7 was the first ever FF I ever played, so I think it's the best.

FFT. Great story, laughable translation, plenty of challenge...

And for the FF7 fanboys out there, it's even got Cloud.

Well, those three are all good games, but I'll once again say that Final Fantasy 6 is the best one for me. I liked everything about this game when I first played it about 9 years ago, and I still like everything about it today.

Those are my top three.

I prefer FFVI over all though. Great character development and story line. Unlike other FF games were the story is centered around a certain character or two. After VI, they all seemed to be centered. The games are better when there is no actual main character.

Only problem is that its too easy.

I think this is a horrible comparison.

"Hey, which game is better? The best looking SNES game ever, with a villian that actually accomplishes something, excellent music; a prelim 3D with cartoonish sprites, good story, awesome music; or a game that isn't even part of the series?"

Well, since it's THESE three, (WHY?!) I pick FF6.

Yea...definitely a weird comparision. They're all great games in their own right...but FF6, then FF7, then FFT in that order I guess in my preferences.

I loved FFT, but the ending just made me mad... FF6 all the way if my snes still worked I would be playing it right now.

I consider Final Fantasy Tactics entirely a part of the series, because it has references to the three preliminary Final Fantasy needs: Chocobos, Mogs, and some dude named Cid. That said, I'm really not sure. I mean, it's a definite tossup between VI and Tactics, VII was ok but just felt kinda hollow at times (also I would have liked to have seen something more done with the Cloud/Tifa background story or RedXIII's past). VI had Magitek, Locke, and a plethora of Moogles, but FFT had challenge, Agrias, Ninjas, Robots, and their use of the Cid character was really only topped by VII (ironically enough). Of course, I haven't even finished VI yet, so I guess by default I have to go with Tactics as the superior game. Man, I need to finish VI.

Would you rather I compared FF7, Puyo Puyo and Metal Gear Solid?

It's a controversial comparison because I simply want to know which of the three you guys think is the best.

If you haven't played them all, or if you've "heard" a particular one is bad, then why reply?

Also, I haven't played VI much, and I wanna know if it's worth it. So far it's been very downtoned and quite boring, though I've only been playing 11-odd hours.

I like Tactics best out of those three, FF7 second (so far). Originally it was gonna be FF7 vs FFT, but I thought I'd throw FF6 in for shits and giggles. =P

In this order FFT, FF4, FF5, FF6, FF7. Yes, I'm a sick and demented bastard. In fact, I like FF8 and FF9 more than FF6. I blame the drugs.

No, I think a more reasonable comparison like FF4, FF6, and FF10 would've been better.

It's a controversial comparison because I simply want to know which of the three you guys think is the best.

The only problem with that is, FF6 is a great game, FF7 is pretty good, and Tactics stands alone, first not part of the series, and is also a great game.

If you haven't played them all, or if you've "heard" a particular one is bad, then why reply?

I have played all of them. FF1, FF2, FF3, FF4, FF5, FF6, FF7, FF8, FF9, FF10, (I will avoid FF11 like the plaque.) FFT, FFL1, FFL2, FFL3, FFA, and FFMQ.

Also, I haven't played VI much, and I wanna know if it's worth it. So far it's been very downtoned and quite boring, though I've only been playing 11-odd hours.

It's worth it. 11 hours?! Where are you?

FF7 is not great enough to stand alone. FF8 and FF9 far surpass it.

I never played FF6 of FFT. I suck, I'll play them when I get the chance to. So I say FF7..since I haven't played much of FF6 and had countless times to purchase FFT..but usually I was missing a couple dollars and ended up buying something else

What? How did it have a solid, logical storyline?! I mean, I love the game, but the plot just took too many goddamned twists. It goes from like battle between knights and stuff to like Hell.(literally)

FFT got too bizarre at the end. It went from a story of nasty political intrigue to some fluff about demons. The first two thirds were great, though.

I think that FF7 is the greatest RPG even compared to the newer FF series because FF7's storyline was one of the greatest ever. There is more play time than any other game. and also after beating the ending there is plenty of things to do like fight Ruby, and Emerald and lets not forget about the hours and hours you spend in the golden saucer with the chocobo races, gambling, plenty of minigames, and also the arena. But there is also the twist that you can get or lose some characters depending on your actions such as Vincent or Yufi

But if you were to put ff8 into that picture i would have to probably go with that i wont go into details but if you make a new thread then i will post
