Two questions:

1) Do you know what type of video card would fit in my Dell Dimension 4600C? It's a small, flex-case that normal video cards don't fit in.

2) Where can I find such a video card?

newegg.com features a lot of harware, including customs and rarities.

according to dell, you need to install a "low-profile card"

i'm not sure how many places sell those types of video cards but the requirement of the card must be "low-profile"

Does this comp even have an AGP slot? I don't think they make AGP cards that are low profile!

They do, I've seen AGP Low Profile cards before. They're not real easy to come across though. I know a couple of local wholesalers here have low profile video cards, but only from time to time.

I guess you should keep searing newegg, I don't know anywhere else I can suggest -- and it will cost more than it's worth for me to hunt down wholesale stuff here and then send it to the US. Last I checked, I can buy various components RETAIL in the US for the equivalent of the Australian WHOLESALE Aiieee...

I searched for "low profile" on newegg, and this was the only video card I saw. But it doesn't say anywhere in the description that it's low profile, and the back of it looks too wide (the part with the port on it).

If I knew for certain that that would work, I'd seriously consider taking a hacksaw to the back of it to cut it down to size.....

Unfortunately, I dunno enough about your Dell though....

well, the easiest place to find a low profile card is from dell themselves since it is their computer.

anyways, the card you found NSNick, is a standard expansion slot video card. So you will probably have to search a little more. You may have to venture into less known online retailers to find it. However, if you don't trust them, maybe going to computer shows in your area may allow you to find such a thing.
