Yeah, just wondering what your suggestions are. FCE Ultra seems to splutter for me at times.

I suggest Jnes, it's easy to use and a it's good emulator, too. (edited by Hidden Mario on 08-09-04 12:46 PM) |

I never understood all the fuss about JNes. I mean it's decent... but it really lacks features. Anyway... if FCEU doesn't work... I'd try out NNNesterJ. Has everything you could want from an emu and a bunch more... although it's not as accurate as it could be. |

FCEU definitely for your compatibilty and emulation quality. The only thing about Jnes is it has the embedded Kailerra support, so you could play online. However Rocknes has a built in interface for online play, and its probably the best you going to get.

I would stick with Fce ultra in meantime, yes FCE ultra is abonden but it's the best I have seen yet. I don't like rocknes, tries it. And it's soo slow. But the later versions maybe got that fixed... |

I've gotten into FCEU since it does what I need it to do. Enough features to satisfy my needs. I've never gotten NES netplay to work, yet SNES (through ZSNES) is a breeze. |

NEStopia gives me my jollies. At this point, it does everything that I want and I only have to go to FCEU for DD's hacks.

I use FCEU all the time... all of the other ones were just a BIT too confusing for me.

They released a Biohazard pirate? OK, THAT one's interesting. No idea how much of the game they fit into THAT. Most emulators aren't that complex for the NES... for some of them, all you need to know is how to load a ROM and set controls. |

Originally posted by Kitten Yiffer Yes, rocknes can be quite slow, but it doesn't have many compatibility issues. I only use it for the local netplay. |

I switch between FCEU and Nestopia. Fceu for its anti-aliasing (right? the blurred look I mean. good colors too.) and Nestopia for its rasted look and rapid fire! Pew Pew! Dow dow dow. |

I agree with you on R.E.G. I ain't like that game either. But Bio Hazard is pretty decent, even if it's a pirate. So far the game is the same as the PS1 version, all items are in the same place that is.

A shame they used Gaiden's battle system.. But geez! That's impressive for a pirate.. Hmm.. Tempted to play it.. Be nice if it were translated though. |
