My nan went for a checkup at the hospital, and she foundout she had cancer. It has been in her body so long, has spread, and she doesnt have long to live. About 8 months. Im so depressed that after that time, I wont see her again.

That sucks man. There is a possibllity of her living longer...I've heard that my grandfather was supposed to die 5 years ago, from some sort of disease...it wasn't cancer, but still lethal.

Just have high hopes, and she needs your love and attention.

I have to agree. When doctores give you an estimate, they give yoiu the least possible amount of living, so that you know when to start expecting you loved one to leave. Just spend all the time with her you can.

I totally have to agree. Like my grandma was supposed to die three years before she actually did die.
I think docters do that just so they can seem dramatic.

Yeah, cancer is a bitch. My grandfather had lung cancer as a result of smoking for forty-plus years (He had other health issues that eventually caught up with him as well).

Hmmm... not much to tell ya other than enjoy the time you have. There may be a chance that she could recover from this but it is slim...

I never knew anyone with cancer so I can only imagine hat you are going through.

A cure to cancer is hard to find. It's a hyper cells multiplication with desordenation. My opinion to don't get cancer is: don't smoking, make exercise, eat good foods and don't drink a lot. I think the only cure to cancer its it own prevention.

Yeah, maybe. Sometimes the only cure to cancer is a surgery. Of course this may be the last choice, as it may cause complications to your life. Some type of cancers can be cured, if discovered fast. I don't know exactly which type of things can give cancer. A thing is excessive solar energy. Remember that sun effects are cumulatives. You never will be free from the effects of sun you've taken before.

The drinks, if I'm right, gives a "overload" in your cells. Every drink cause effects at your brain. A substance contained in beers blocks your brain's cells connections, disabling the capability of acts right.
Now backing to cancer...

The really cure to cancer doens't exists, so I'm still saying: all people can lower their overall cancer risk by being active and eating a diet rich in fruits and vegetables.

But, in addition to regular exercise and healthy eating, there are other ways that you could protect yourself against cancer, based on your age, gender and family history of the disease.

Sure, but my father didn't smoke, didn't drink (a lot), made exercise and ate good foods... I think It's fate, I don't believe in these things but or you are going to have cancer or you aren't (Well, smoking cause cancer, I agree)

60% of your characteristics are from your family. I don't know if some people have an higher probality to get cancer by it. Maybe the ambient can higher this probality.

Well, I prefer this don't happen... If my grandfather died for cancer -for smoking- my father also died for cancer... argh! I have the feeling I am going to have cancer in the future...

I agree with Mario. But you will have to make excercises etc. If you smoke, eat bad foods and don't make exercises, its probably that you get cancer (I hope that this don't happen).
