Metallica get's my vote. My currently playlist is 4 hour long, only songs by them. And they get my vote because of songs like 'Master of Puppets' and 'One'.

This one was VERY easy, indeed... Of course, I voted for Metallica. I like some of their old songs like "The four horsemen"...

I too went with Metallica, mainly because of their earlier material (Though I've been listening to St. Anger a lot lately).

Kiss certainly have their influence over the world, but they're less a band than a corporation, and they'll be the first to admit it.

Kiss.

Metallica was a good band but I haven't been too impressed with their stuff since Ride The Lightning. Some great songs since than but their Ride The Lightning and Kill 'em all definately makes Metallica awsome in my eyes.

Kiss is Kiss. The first band (at least I know about) to have a gimmick getup and besides they wrote the rock and roll athem.

Another tough one, but I'm going with Kiss, just because "God Gave Rock and Roll to You" is one of my favorite songs of all time.

Kiss kicks ass and all. I love Kiss.

But come on....

It's Metallica we're talking about here. METALLICA.

I'll vote for Metallica, though I almost got crushed to death when I saw them last year. Guess I'm kinda biased towards them, because bands always seem better when you've seen them live.

Metallica's early stuff rocked. Everything up to and including And Justice For All was simply brilliant. After that, they stopped producing their own music, and now we have...*shudders* Saint-Anger.

Well, S&M was great but it's still their old songs with No Leaf Clover and -Human which were new. But these CDs were worth it.

In the 80s-early 90s, I'd say Metallica by far.

Now, my vote would go to Kiss. St. Anger is a worthless excuse for an album, especially one by Metallica. As much as I love them, it just wouldn't have been a good CD no matter who did it.

Although I don't enjoy both of them too much, I'd say that Metallica is much superior and influential musically than KISS
