drumroll please...

The handy little tool bar for making new/editing threads for this or this. I mean, come on, IE is old, obsolete, and abused. I don't know all of the smiley emotes by hand, and I have to guess at them all, most of which I get wrong. It'd be great for those that actually don't know HTML too.

Now who flames first?

Given that I use IE and it shows up there, I can only guess that it's an IE-only sort of thing.

The idea itself is a great one, given that I plan to switch over to FireFox before too long (Long story that involves getting my own laptop and not using the family comp).

Dunno, I don't like the little toolbar, I'm ok without having it for Firefox.

In forums, I turn out anyway to write out the proper smiley codes than to click on them; I even made that, when *sigh* I used Internet Explorer in late 2002 still here.

Typing ;) for or :P for goes very quickly after time and goes faster than selecting the smiley from the toolbar..

But fixing the toolbar really would be great; people get distracted when they register using a non-IE browser and wonder why that toolbar, mentioned on register.php and editprofile.php, doesn't appear at all but simply doesn'T appear in a non-IE engine browser

Quoted, enlarged, and bolded for emphasis, and limed for truth.

Just open a new window and look in the FAQ for the smilies. You learn them quicker that way.

All that really needs to be done for it to work in Mozilla is to change the keypress catcher code.
...And remove the code designed specifically to not load it.

Smillys were made to be easy to remember. Seems like people always need the thing that let's them do the less work.

Well if I knew what they were, it'd wouldn't be a problem. It's also rather annoying to open up a separate window and look in the faq to find a certain smiley.
=p =\

How many did I get right by guessing?

It's not a matter of "omfg U use dat?!" It's a matter of convenience, but I guess that is non-existant here...

it wouldn't be a "return" because it never worked in non IE browsers to begin with....

I'm sure that Firefox would support the necessary Java... I'm not sure why Acmlm has it as IE only
