| Just so this thread doesn't get closed do to spam reason, would you guys mind going into detail? I'm not particularly fond of list threads like this and I know that several people don't either. I forget what the ability was called in Mega Man X...other than the fact that it shot needles out on a normal attack...but when you charged up the attack and shot it, you were invincible from enemies for a short time. Probably one of the best evasive techniques in any of the games, in my opinion. Course you also had Rolling Shield, but I liked this one better. |

| Best: "Man of Metal, not of brass, rules them all and kicks some ass!" -"St. Metal Man (NuMetallica Man)". Strong, can throw it in eight directions, and kills its own master in one hit. Goood stuff. Favorite: Hmm. It's in Mega Man X4, the one that shoots diagonally up and down and forward. I think it was Slash Tiger's weapon. No idea why I like it, I just do. And yeah, Guts Man's power lets you pick up the large blocks you see lying around. I can only presume you never beat the game, since you need the Magnet Beam to do so, and the only way to get it is to use Guts Man's power or go through Elec Man's level twice (Using the Elec Beam to shoot away the blocks)... |

| Metal Blade > you. Where else can you go through an entire level using only one weapon besides your cannon and have PLENTY left over? (I'm referring to Wood Man.) Oh, and the Top Spin doesn't get enough credit. You can kill Gamma's final form in one hit with it. Favorite? Uhm, in theory, the Crescent Kick. Who doesn't like using the slide as a weapon? As for worst, the Skull Shield just didn't have a very good implementation. It was annoying as crap to use, whereas you could at least throw the Leaf Shield. Same thing for Star Shield, too. |

| Sadly, I've only played the SNES Mega Man X games - which will, with any luck and $25, change soon. And I haven't played X2 or X3 much because of having some trouble with the rom at first, then the computer screwed up... Favorite Weapon: Ice Shotgun, MMX If you're fighting a large target, you can shoot at a wall and hit the enemy twice instead of just once.  Impractical perhaps, but fun.Honorable Mention: Storm Tornado, MMX A tough enemy that just won't go away? Perhaps a crowd of weaklings that you just want gone in one shot are annoying you? The Storm Tornado will fix it all in just one shot! Well, okay, perhaps that's exaggeration, but it's still a damn good weapon for going through a level. Strongest/Most Useful weapon not previously mentioned: I don't know... Spin Wheel, Sonic Slicer, and Strike Chain from X2 were weapons I used perhaps too much for various reasons. Multiple hits on one enemy (S. Wheel), hitting multiple enemies (S. Slicer charged, Wheel charged), and grabbing onto walls (S. Chain) were all very useful. Most Useless Weapon: Oof... Rolling Shield noncharged, Heat Ray (I think... it was Flame Mammoth's weapon) uncharged, and Bubble Crab's weapon all had varying levels of uselessness. It was too hard to hit things with Rolling Shield, and Heat Ray and that bubble gun all had such a short range. Strike Chain also had a short range, but at least it had a useful secondary function (ignoring one-time uses, like getting Heat Ray for the Helmet Upgrade) Enough detail, Ranko?  |

| Metal blade is my favorite because of the irony... the fact that you can kill Metal Man with his own weapon... quite quickly The most useful is probably any of the ones that stop time... there are alot of those. Having problems with an enemy... *ping* waltz right on by them Worst... The sheild ones... (leaf, star, skull) I dont need a sheild thank you, I dont get hit that much. |
