The first step is composing or remixing the actual music, thats probably just as large an aspect of the procedure. Do you have the tools for that, MBK?

well...i can use sound recorder to...
a) speed up or slow down (by 100%)
b) add echo (have to add 'bout 3 times b4 it's noticable)
c) delete after and delete before selected area

Wow, the intro music when its slightly faster and has a subtle echo would be so awesome! . Seriously, that can hardly produce a remix.

well...It can also mix files together. I can make it so that da remix is rayquaza with archie music in the background and an intense echo. of course, I'd have to decrease the volume so it didn' hurt your ears, but Sound Recorder can decrease and increase the volume of the sound. and, 'sides, it's all i got, and now it's gone.

But the music in the game isn't in wave format, the samples that make up the songs are, but I doubt even a GBA rom can fit huge waves for each song

not huge, but...and i have a midi mixer, but it's glitched, or at least my computer is different from everyone elses...i changed all of the channel thingies to use ocarina, it sounded like piano instead.

yout MIDI mixer must have stuffed up the event list to play a patch change somewhere. that or you're just being stupid

and Someguy, the smaples are stored in 8-bit unsigned wave format. The gba actualy can handle some decent sized waves, I remmeber a pacman game where almost all the music was made by sampled songs...I even remember getting RS to play the TV-sized intro to Pokemon Johto a whiiiiiiile ago. Though I probably don't have that patch, it can be done

Well, I have just seen two people making "sappy" music. Your one of them.

Someday you should try to explain how it works, but I can quite tell that your making the music manually with a hex editor yes? (after making it in a composer program)
