| I'm not entirely sure where this thread goes, but this forum seems pretty appropriate. As stated by the title, I'm looking for a good, free webhost. Now, its free, so obviously its not going to include all the features and 1 gig of bw and such, but it would be nice to have a dependable, commonly used one. | |||

| Not long ago, I discovered a free host named "Netcessor". It's nice, It doesn't offer that much at first, but if you post in the forums you get upgrades (more bandwidth and such), you don't need to join the forums thought. It doesn't put any ads on your pages as well. Heres the adress: Click here Edit: The only things is that you need to wait one hour after you registered in order to be able to use the FTP. | I'll start off free, but if I begin to perform regular maintenance and updates on my site, I'll be looking for more bandwidth, FTP, and other features. For a real webhost, by all means I would consider fiftypounds. $5 dollars a month is very affordable for even a kid like myself. | |||

That is very true. Erk's server has gotten surprisingly big. (Which isnt a bad thing) Everytime I talk to him he is always upgrading. But yeah Erks server is worth every penny you put into it. Plus remember most free hosts have ads and popups.  |

| If you need a free host with 20 mb space, FTP access, PHP and MySQL, then visit this place. Note: FTP access and MySQL requires that you upgrade your account (for free) by being a member of their forum for 4 days and requesting the upgrade in a certain thread or something. |

| Geocities isn't bad; 3GB bw, 15MB storage. The ads are pretty easy to remove. There's nothing fancy like FTP or SQL though. | |||

| Yeah, I have seen that at another forum. That would be good, and there could be a section for free webhosts, non-free webhosts, and image hosts. They could also be color-coded to indicate their reliability and overall goodness. | |||
