| Janus and the Priest followed the path Kirbynite's group ran, trying to catch up to them. Thus far, there seemed to be nothing... Janus looked over to the Priest as they moved on. Janus: "So, then. I guess those monsters in town were just flukes?" Priest: "Flukes? How so?" Janus: "Well, we haven't exactly run into anything else... Maybe there's not really a monster attack on the temple or something?" Priest: "I saw it myself, I can assure you there are monsters about!" Janus: "Whatever you say, old man..." |

| Kirbynite gave Haruko a dull look. Kirbynite: ... Th-that's it? Just shady?  As the gang got closer to the the stairway, Kirbynite noticed something in the environment. There were random animals laid out across the land. Apparantly, a path was made for them. Kirbynite: I guess that answers my other question.. |

| Teddylot popped his head out from behind the group to see what made everybody stop. He quickly pulled out his magnifying glass and a Holmes-like cap and began to inspect some of the various dead things. Teddylot: Hmm ... I've deduced that, after using many various deduction methods, someone was here before us. Zap: Nice deduction, genius. From a little ways down the path, Zap, the local smart guy, came shuffling down the trail. As usual, he sported his brown hoodie even during the warm weather and his headphones were propped on top his dirty blonde hair. Zap: But ... *adjusts his glasses* you can also tell that this guy is powerful and fast since he was able to 1) clear out all of these monsters and 2) be able to do it from when the Priest came to the school until you came running within sight of the stairs to the temple. Teddylot: Couldn't it be the teacher, smartpants? Zap: Seems a bit far-fetched ... but yeah, sure-- Teddylot: Waaaait ... how did you know the Priest came into their classroom? You weren't in that class. Zap: True ... but I do my homework. *nods* Besides, he's been following me with some weird guy ever since I saw you guys head for the temple. |

| Janus: "I prefer the term 'Ultra-Modern', especially around here." Janus and the priest were seen walking the path of the young travelers, finally managing to catch up to the main group. As they approached the group, Janus looks at Kirbynite inquiringly. Janus: "Now then, I've heard about the prophecy already, but would you mind telling me exactly why a journey to save the world happened to pop up right at this predicted time? It seems a bit random, an attack on a chapel without any provocation, followed by a grand quest to ensure the safety of the planet..." |

| Kirbynite gave a puzzled look at the newcomer. He looked to his side and realized the priest was on his feet. Kirbynite: Whoa! He's back on his feet! Mr. Pastor dude, are you feeling alright? *looks at Janus* Uh... Well.. no one knew when Haruko was supposed to go on the journey... I guess it is a bit odd that someone's attacking the chapel at this time... But those damned Gu-Goombas make no sense to begin with! Kirbynite was gritting his teeth, and clenched his flap of a fist. Kirbynite's expression changed when he realized that they were already at the stone stairway. The pink creature looks up, and noticed a white beam is being shot out of the top of the chapel entrance. Kirbynite: We're almost there.. |

| A person was sitting on the steps. He stood up as he noticed the group of people and started to walk down slowly. He could easily be called a warrior as he had full body armor and a visible sword. He spoke the to the group as he watched them start the climb up the steps. "I wouldn't recommend going up to the temple. There are monsters there and you don't appear to be that strong." Regardless of what he said he moved to the side of the steps allowing them to pass if they wanted. |

| The pink Dreamlander looked at his own weapon the moment Dracoon looked at the stick. Kirbynite shrugged, unable to explain his reasoning. Kirbynite: Jack's being more brash than I am. I'm not about to let him do something I usually drag him into. *nod* The Dreamlander twirled his weapon and held it behind him. He leapt forward and quickly followed Jack up the stairs. Meanwhile, at the top of the stairs, infront of the Minh Temple, a group of men surrounded an old man in a lab coat. The group of men were clad in red suits, and wore armored helmets, gauntlets, and boots. In the center of the group, stood a large man with long robes. ???: Tell me... where is the Chosen? Old Man: I.. I won't tell you! Kirbynite finally manages to reach the top of the stairs. He leaps into the air, and waves his arms around. Kirbynite: Stooooop! *panting* Man.. that was one of the longest flight of stairs I've ever gone through! Geeze! |

| Janus and the Priest, following Kirbynite's group, froze in place at the sight of the soldier's weapons. Janus, always the peaceful type, has a look of worry on his face. Janus: "Oh, I didn't want to do any more fighting today... And these things don't look like they've died yet... Isn't there some other way out of this?" The Priest, however, is filled with fear at the sight of the very soldiers that caused him his wounds. Though he has help this time, he is still unsure that the Chapel, and now Haruko, will be safe from them... |
