I made up my name. I needed a name that ended with "minion" and started with something else. Then I think up "Dustminion." So I use that name now. And it sounds cool. Yeah, not an interesting story. |

I guess I was lookin' for something catchy and odd... then it hit me... Clockworks... But Clockworks is bland with an 's', so I spiced it up with a 'z'!

Originally posted by Usam I got mine by thinking up random letters. It was originally for my D&D character, then I forgot about it, then when asked for my real name online, I put that. People started calling me that, and it stuck. There you go. You do D&D? Me too! Anyways... My name came from basically not reading the rules far enough, posting something apparently "Unacceptable," and being banned for it. But seriously, I know you guys are a lot nicer than that. Please don't ban me just for saying that. |

It's an acronym for another name I came up with at another MB over a year ago, "The 16-Bit Terror."

Originally posted by Kitten Yiffer Ah, I thought i was just an parody on Rankitty. Hehe, I rembember the layout you had. You see I did stare on the mouse for some time becuse I sweared that it blinked at me... Heh, I must play the FF games, I just must. I have a mouse that senses movement through infrared sensors instead of a mouseball (it's more expensive but worth it as cats chew the mouseball but can't chew through the glass on this for some reason), it gives a red light off, and periodically it'll shut off for just an instant so it looks like it's blinking. I always wondered why it gave off a clearly visible red light if it had infrared sensors, but it works, so I don't care if it's just barely not infrared (edited by Kyouji "Kagami" Craw on 03-17-04 05:22 PM) |

Any good Ed Edd n Eddy fan will ascertain that Ed (The lump) has an obsession with gravy. So I moulded the 2 together and voila! I eventually lost this username and thus the '0' came into play. Other variations include EdsgravyO.

It all began during my long post-acmlm hiatus, when I was losing intest in the name "Thresher". I was getting into Everquest, and looking for a distinct alias of my own. I went into a name generator, and didn't like any of the ones they produced. So, I took bits and pieces of the best ones, and made them into one name: Jarukoth And that, as they say, is history. |

I'm a bit late, but whatever Long ago (around 1990 or before) when I played old NES games and had to enter a name (like in RPG's), I used to put my real name (usually ended up with "Jean-Fra", "JeanF", etc.) and all was good ... Then one day, I got bored and started using random things as names, I remember playing Dragon Warrior 3 and naming my characters "Command?", "Bravo", Rooozzzz" and "Abcdefgh" Eventually, around 1991-1992, we rented a RPG on the Genesis called "Shining in the Darkness" ... when I went to start a new game, I just felt like pressing buttons randomly to get random letters, and got something like "ABVRT" ... I kept it for a while, but didn't like it too much So when we rented it again (I loved that game), I did the same thing ... and this time: I got "ACMLM" ... for some reason, I liked the way it looked, so I kept it and later started using that same name by purpose in other games Then in 1998, as I made my first contacts with the Internet, I needed a name ... and of course, picked my good old "Acmlm" name again (except I had "_jf32" at the end for a while), and I've had it ever since |

I had this nick back when I played Quake 3 on Dreamcast. I was pretty sad at the time and I was listening to Linkin Park, so I thought it was "OMG KOOLZ". So when I got my PC, I just stuck with it.

1998, movie came out, done by Fox called, "Anastasia", which was based on the daughter of the Romanov family. I decided to look into the real history of "Anya" and her family, reading a lot of books and so forth. Kept the name since themn as a nick and started to use it more online in 2000.

My username was an old high scool password that i used, but now it has evolved into what it is now. High school = kp9000 SNES9x board = kp9000 ACMLM's Board = kp9000, with a name change to KP9000, then to KP9000 @fter$hok. the aftershok is for my returning to tek, and it also sounded cool, and gave me a reason to use symbols for letters. |

New username means new response, I guess. (If anyone read my first reply after being 'FreeDOS', just note that it was Mike. My name is definately not FreeDOS) How to explain... hmmm. Well, some of the admins here a few days ago had a name-spree. About computers. I wanted to be 'FreeDOS' when they were doing the operating systems... I never asked to be named back. I like my new username. |
