Which video game houses your favorite music, or more to the point, which single track is your favorite. I'd Like to keep it in NES terms, but if you are really into another system then go for it.

I believe on whole, Capcom has had the most amount of games with great music (there are millions of MegaMan remixes to prove that). With that in mind, I'd like to state that Ducktales is my musical favorite. The African Mines and the Moon tracks are fighting for the number one slot.

I think my favorite NES music would have to be Mega Man II, Contra, Zelda, and Zelda II.

The Duckside of the Moon, nothing beats that.

Close second is Metroid Title Theme.
Followed by Gremlings 2, First Level.
Title Theme of Klax.
And then the Parodius and Kirby Games.

Well, these are the most important I just can remember:

- Final Fantasy IIIj, the battle theme is quite addictive, as well as the boss battle music; the (first) world map theme fits nice and one or two dungeon tracks are not bad
- Mega Man III - I love that game; I can hear the Hard Man Stage NSF again and again and again; as well as the second Wily Stage music theme
- Mega Man II - also nice, Quick Man's stage music is here my favourite track.
- Kirby's Adventure - Nearly every track is burning itself inside the brain, so you will remember that for eternity; Also it features one of the best boss battle BGMs in an NES game ever
- Zelda I - Once you heared the main theme, you'll never forget it
- SMB 3 - Level 1-1 and 1-2 tracks, doomship, worldmaps 1, 3, 5 (below sky), 6, 7 and 8 rock
- Metroid - Yes, Brinstar's music is good, but the really best tracks are the two when you need to escape withhin the time limit (it made me taking the way up to the last lift a little slower than usual; to enjoy the music when I played that game every time ) and the end sequence theme
- 1942 - Woot, the level 2 stage music is certainly very distracting, it is kinda sucking up the brain to bury itself somewhere ; I got the game, and then I hardly could think forgetting that music quite a while

It's impossible to mention NES game music and not discuss the first stage of Wily's Castle from Mega Man II.

Having said that, Willow for NES also had really good music.

LoZ, first overworld theme. In crisp 8-bit, not a remix, so you get that scratchy fuzz in there that actually adds some beat to it.

I like the Megaman 3 music. Especially the second Wily theme music on the 3rd and 4th wily stage...

I also like Punch Out. Especially the remix "Game Over" has done...

If you wanna just go 8-bit, King DeDeDe's theme from KDL...though my heart belongs to the SaGa series for overall sound. Eh. If you really want me to go NES, I'll say maybe...Zelda or Duck Hunt..what?

Command and Conquer: Red alert. The Hell march theme is a classic. And I like the music in Red alert most of the C&C games. Red alert 2 and the first command and conquer is a shared second.

Video game wise it's the SMW2 flower garden theme, and not to forgot the classical moon theme from Duck tales.

I'm surprised no one's mentioned Akumajou Densetsu yet (Castlevania 3 for US). Better music in the Jap version than US.

I'm not really picky...usually it's a matter of mood...usually most of the stuff I'll go for is pretty upbeat and/or has a lot of bass.

Example: SMB3 - 'Underworld' theme.

If Disch were to reply, his response would look something like "Madara owns."

As for me, there's a couple tracks in River City Ransom, some in TMNT 1, and then again, some tracks in Madara do kick ass. But overall, I like a lot of songs, but I don't think I could single one out. If I had to, it'd be a three way tie of Still More Fighting (FF7), Dark Messenger (FF9), You're Not Alone! (FF9). Yet, that doesn't answer...ahh whatever, so I can't pick. =\
