No fuckin' way.

(puts on ESPNews)

They're leading with it. Check your favorite sports web sites for details. He's quitting because he's bored with football and wants to travel. I can't say it's out of character for him, but he's set for life and just wants to do something else. Good for him. They're already saying people are calling him a lunatic, but as I've seen, if you're not happy with your life and you can change it, DO IT.

Anya, my sympathies.

Hmm...how was ricky doing these past few seasons in Miami? anyways, yeah this is a shock to me but I guess this is a better way to leave unlike what barry sanders did? or did barry sanders leave in a similar fashion?

GOOD. Not that I didn't like him, but the Pats will have an easier time in their division now.

yeah good for pats since there really isn't anyone in the AFC East that can run...well, cory dillion i guess can run but he is with the Pats...

anyways, 5 seasons and out...that seems to be the average for majority of NFL players....

...Madden 2K5 already went gold, right?

Doubt they'll be able to fix this *little* mishap by shipping time.

Sure they will. Before you know it, you'll be entering cheats that would supposedly unlock all teams, but instead updates them randomly.

You know what's funny? Actually, it has a lot of people pissed...well, word has it, that Ricky told the coach on Friday that he was leaving the NFL and the Dolphins. They waited until that Monday to release the info. Why? Cause tickets and "fan day" was that Saturday and news about Williams leaving would have brought the ticket sales straight to the gutter.

...On the flip side, letting everyone know MIGHT have allowed the Dolphins to pursue a replacement without having everyone confused over why.

Well, maybe he's going to follow Quincy Carter's lead and go snort half of Colombia.

Oh, so that's what Carter's deal what?

The Cowboys will be in trouble if the league finds out Jones was testing, because that's a no no.

Carter failed a drug test. It's not known precisely what drug he was taking..media says cocaina, Carter denies it.

Yeah, but it wasn't a league test, so he can file a grievance or something if the results go public.

I think what they're saying is it WAS a league test after all. Probably wasn't, but who knows.

Hmm, I watched ESPN the day of, and the guy reporting out of camp said the league didn't do any tests, and that Jones probably had.

What would the league do? Fine Jones, sure... only other thing I could see was force them to take Carter back but you know he'd be dealt ASAP.

I'm guessing it was a league test but wouldn't they announce a... you know... suspension?

I'm not sure what they could do.

Fines, some type of penalty, forfitures of some type. I'm not up on the punishments for union violations.
