Even stranger, the door you jump out of at the start of the game. You can enter that room again using some secret way. So, whole level 1 is the "dungeon" you're thrown in? Then why did they left a sword there?

Actually, in the SNES version, the door you enter the level 1 from cannot be re-entered. If we ignore the fact that the entire game is redesigned, the room you start the SNES version in is directly ABOVE the room you originally started in.

Anyway, here's an interesting one. In Ocarina of Time, Link put on Iron Boots so he'll sink to the bottom of whatever body of water he's in. Well, where does he put the boots once he takes them off? He's still carrying them, so he shouldn't get any lighter.

Hmmm, Im going ot go with bomberman for weirdness.

First of all, where does he get his bomb supply? You just magically have a bomb placed in your hands... what is with that.

Secondly, I dont see how he can pump up a bomb. He just holds the bomb above his head and it inflates... cool, but weird

Blame all the RPGs, in Final Fantasy or even more in Lufia II the characters carry a shitload of weapons with them; having maybe 250-255 different items at a time (In Lufia it's even more, but the menu cannot hold up more; so sell some stuff and that vendor in that city with the big casino will have all stuff you sold again ), you are prepared on a battle; simply walking around with 50 swords, 40 armor, ten rings, hehe, of course everything fits in your small backpack. You simply switch equipment outside battle

In Shadowgate, where you kill the wyvern with a star.

A star. You somehow "launch" the star, it becomes like a fireball or something, and the wyvern explodes into pieces when it hits him.

I don't know, but I also don't care why that should make sense.

You'll notice a good LOT of old games don't make sense. But the thing I'm complaining about is that we're all spoiled with storylines now. If there isn't a storyline, or the storyline doesn't make sense, people will hate (?!?!?!) the game.

Another good example is City Connection, where if your car runs into a cop car, it explodes and turns into hearts. I also hate that damn cat! Oh well.

Another thing from Shadowgate is that supposedly you're a knight, so you don't have a backpack or something, yet I'm able to carry 15 torches, a spear, a shield, 5 rocks, a slingshot, a sword, a talisman, 4 keys, a horn, a flute, a staff, a blade, an arrow, some kind of weird jem, while wearing a gauntlet, glasses, and a heat cloak.

I can't believe no one has mentioned that in Ninja Gaiden (Thhe one on NES) birds hurt you more than bullets, blades, fire, etc.

One thing to be said about illogical carrying capacity: Castle of the Winds, for the PC, actually holds you to weight and bulk limits. And that's even expanded because you don't get porters to carry all your shit around. Consequently, that makes the game REALLY, REALLY TEDIOUS. You have to make thousands of trips to get everything out of a dungeon (although there's only three in the entire, full version). Boring as crap.

That applies to Diablo II as well.

Hm, carry around 40 Scrolls or 6 Swords? Apparently they weigh around the same!

Perhaps, since the scrolls are magic, the overall power would be too immense to be able to carry more than that. And yes, I do play Diablo II, so I know what you're talking about.

At least in that game you have Town Portals if you need anything.

Funny how I almost never used a town portal, only to defeat diablo with a LV 32 necromencer.

My next Bizarre Logic is in The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. When you play the Song of Time, you go back in time and you lose every item you had (bombs, arrows, etc) and the big key. But if you have some ruppes at the bank you won't lose them. Also, people don't remember you but the guy at the bank still does.

most of the bizarre logic comes from villians and trying to make the game interesting and fun.

Why the fuck didn't shadow link or whatever the GREAT EVIL was in four swords just add a fifth switch.

Or why gravity man didn't put spikes on the ceiling of his chamber.

Or... why was it ALWAYS a suprise that sigma comes back in some way or another.

Even better....
when death takes away your awesome equipment in SOTN... why doesn't he just kill you then and there? You're powerless to stop him.

Nonono, you don't get it. He puts a special ink on you, remember? Your rupees don't go back in time, he just knows your name and how many rupees you have because he sees it written on your cap. He's a bank manager, which is why he's able to give you so many.

Wily should take a spike and just attatch it to a gun. Or just open the floor to reveal a giant pit filled with spikes.

I would.
