Comic Strip(Cartoon Cat + Dorky Owner + Imbicile Dog + Hilarityx5) = Good! Cartoon Cat + Live action/animated movie(Bad idea in the first place x 100) = BAD! Not a good idea, Davis... |

Hey, apparently Scooby-Doo made enough money to warrant a sequel, so you never know. (Regardless of how unbelieveably crappy it looks.)

It's not even good in the paper anymore...it's probably the same comic with updated graphics from 10 years before.

Garfield sucks. Really...he does. Back in the '80s, Davis had some real funny material, but ever since somewhere early in the '90s, he's sacrificed hilarity for better looking art. (Garfield used to be very crude looking.) Nothing, and I mean nothing, is funny about Garfield. And that cartoon show? Why was it even made? Worse than Heathcliff. This movie...from the trailer I'd seen, it looks awful. Big, disgusting CGI cat...with nothing humorous to say...and an Odie that's a real dog, instead of another cartoony CGI character? Blecht. |

Basic rule of movies... If a movie makes a lot of money, and if a sequel is feasible, you do it. Doesn't have to be in 2 years, it can be in 5 or 10... but if it's guaranteed money, it's done. The cartoon wasn't THAT bad. |

The trailer killed me. Twice. Really, I vouch for more than post count when I say this is possibly the most retarded thing ever. Feel free to top me, folks. |

Seen the trailer as well. Though one of the GOOD things about the movie is that the guy who played Peter Venkman on Ghostbusters the movie is doing the voice. Still, it'd be a nice touch of old school if Lorenzo Music was still alive and could do Garfield's voice. The real Odie, I suppose could have used some work. |

I thought Scooby-Doo was good. Go figure. I think that the comics are the best medium for Garfield, with cartoons being second. The trailer didn't look that good, but it was a teaser, not the full-fleged trailer. They can change a lot in a small period of time. (Jimmy Neutron teaser-nothing like the movie.) It'd still be better animated. If you wanna have odie, make him look more like his comic counterpart or just CG him. |

I'm not sure what to think about a Garfield film. There's worse things that could be done...much worse. I'll probably see it just 'cuz. As for the Scooby Doo movie...that had the single best moment in all of Scooby Doo...when Scooby bitch-slapped Scrappy. Single best moment, no questions asked. |

Oh, how the mighty have fallen. *snf* ...I used to looooove reading Garfield in the paper when I was younger, in fact, that's what started me drawing in the first place. In fact, well, my current sig comes from one of his old books. And now, years later...this. This, this movie thing. Technically I guess I can't say anything without actually seeing it, but the trailer doesn't look promising. ...I may get sick.... >< |

The Garfielf and friends show rocked just based on the voice of Lorenzo Music. The only bad part of the cartoon was Binky the clown. If you go back and read the comics from the 80s, the 10th through-19th books, those were good. Oh well, as long as Fox Trot keeps going, I'll be happy. |

Garfield SUCKS. You know the guy doesn't draw his own strips. He fucking milks everything. Nothing's funny about Garfield. Davis doesn't have to try, everyone buys into it. I'll admit I am picky about comics, but Garfield has NO effort. I would love to see the trailer. edit: http://www.apple.com/trailers/fox/garfield/. ..
