A while ago I was playing SMB3 for my NES. I was putting in random game genie codes, writing them done, then testing them. I found a code I have never seen on any site. It was GUSSUY. What it did was make random sprites come out of blocks when hit. I found ones that would make yellow fish, wooden platforms, turtles, goombas etc etc. But Now when I try it out, it makes me speed across the screen!!

Does anyone know of a code that will get the effects that I originally had? I have searched google for codes but didn't find anything like it. Some help as to how to find game genie codes that do this (using a rom) would be great.

Maybe its not even a real code, it's just totally glitching your game.

Well, don't forget that Game Genie codes basically access certain memory locations in a rom and change them. So putting in a code for infinite lives basically finds the location where the lives are stored and makes sure it doesn't change.

My guess is that your code just messed up the game to begin with causing those random effects.

The code basicly is a block inserter for SMB3 on the nes. It changes block properties. Can some experienced hex/game genie code person tell me where the block data is in the rom, and then how to translate what I find into game genie codes? I really have no clue as to what Im talking about nut this may spark something in somebodys brain and they may think uip something that could be useful

No, I was using an actual game genie with my actual nintendo game. I have never seen this code anywhere else on the internet. I found it by inserting random numbers into the game genie. I am 100% positive that the game I was using was a first edition one. By that I mean that it either came with my system (the NES) or I bought it along with my system. Either way it is very old. I didn't actually buy it concidering I wouldn't have been born but thats be sides the point

Anyway, at first GUSSUY made all the question blocks pop out different things. I could get yellow flying fish that I have never seen in the game. They look like something out of SMB1. Then I could get brown platforms that I could actually stand on. I could get whole koopas to pop out. I got some cool codes where the blocks would stretch from top to bottom and I couldn't pass them.

But now this code does nothing. I had it wriiten down on a sheet of paper taht was in my closet. I found the sheet but the code still doesn't work. The code was very cool, but now I will need to find another cool one.

I have found one KIZZTV (or KISSTV) that does something cool, can't remeber what it was tho. Graphics code I think...?
