I'm a huge fan of the classic Megaman games back in it's 2D roots. I believe the last top notch Megaman game was MMX3, and R&F. After that the feeling in the games were just different. X4 wasn't that bad, and I even really liked the anime cutscenes, but the previous games just seemed better.

MM3 is my all time favorite for the NES. Introducing my favorite character in almost all videogames:

A game, being ... delayed?

How shocking, specially in this life time!

Games get delayed all the time, but most of the time they aren't really noticed.

My favorite Megaman is the 4th one. I got it from my cousin when I was young, and I played it for a long time. I only played the other games from the series once in a while. I also liked Megaman X alot, but not as much as Megaman 4.

I don't really mind the latest megamans, but I haven't really played any of them that much.

The only one I attempted to play through was Mega Man Legends. It was ok, but ti didn't really catch my interest.

The old 2-D ones, looked mildly amusing, but they made so many of them. I never actually picked one up.

I was being sarcastic, Ninja Gaiden, Halo 2, Fable, Half-Life 2, Breed, gah the list never ends...

I'll never forgot how long it took to get out Perfect Dark and Zelda: OoT.

And I gotta say the 4th MM game is pretty incredible, awesome soundtrack. X isn't bad, but it's pretty common if you ask me.

Edit: And Toxic .....
You started off with the worst possible MM game you could have played.
No offense ...

Old school was definitely better. I liked the first three X games too, but after that they started to get too easy and just.. blah :|

My favourite original Megaman is Megaman 3.

I love Mega Man 3 for NES, and Mega Man V for Gameboy (though I haven't played much of it yet).

To MM5GB: Do so...that's probably the best one next to MM4GB...which was the first MM game I ever played. MM2 was the next but I never owned it.

Overall fave though would probably be the easy one: MM2. MM3 and MM5 come in close second. As for the GB: MM5 over MM4 by a hair. Terra vs. Ballade...rrrrrrr...

MM2 was the best, and not because it was easy or anything - at the time, it was revolutionary. It got huge press and showed that this franchise was here to stay - plus the great graphics/sound (at the time) didn't hurt.

MM3 is second-best for me - decent challenge and it was really long considering a lot of the games at the time.

I don't know why but #3 stands out to me the most... first one I played, nicer graphics than IV (maybe it's just me), and a good soundtrack.

No doubt the 1st Mega Man always influenced me. If I would vote for any other original on it would probably be 2. Over all 3 was a dull one in my mind...too too much time, but some of the music was ok from it...

Mega Man 3 is still one my favorite NES games. Number 2 was another good game.
I didn't really care for 4-6, and I don't think I've played the first one yet...

All the games are good. Mega Man 1 was fine, Mega Man 2 was the easiest MM game, but I still liked it, Mega Man 3 was my favorite, it offered a lot of gameplay like the others, and it was long, too. Mega Man 4 was good, Mega Man 5 was fine, and Mega Man 6 was okay.

My favorite old school was MM3, but the one with the best gfx imo is either 4 or 5. Six was just old and rushed and way too easy. My absolute favorite now though is Mega Man Zero 2. God, gotta love that game .

I don't really like the first ones for the NES, but all the 2D ones after that kicked ass, especially MM9, my all time favorite.

I really like Megaman 4, and Megaman X.

Those are groovey to the max...

I can't wait for the MM collection to come out though...
