I use CTRL+Shift+PgDown in the 16x16 block editor to bring up the sprite 16x16 tiles. But when I finish editing them, I press F9 to save but I lose my progress.

I have heard that you can't save what you change in the 16x16 editor when editing sprites. Your best bet would be to download YY-chr, extract the graphics from your rom using LM, then edit them in there. I usually never say this, but read the LM help file for information on how to do this stuff. I know it doesn't say anything about sprite editing. I don't think so anyway. Oh and always make back-ups of your hack because you dont want to make 1 small error and lose monthes work like I did. |

The sprite MAP16 WON'T, I repeat, WON'T save the changes to the ROM. The only reason for it's existance is that some people might make an ASM hack to change certain enemies' use of graphics, and then you can use this function to make them look correct in LM.

The damn thing's hidden! |

Thats true, I was just telling him that he should use YY-chr (or TLP) when editing graphics because you can save them, whereas in the 8x8 editor in LM, you can't when editing sprites. Happy Xkeeper? (edited by Keikonium on 07-18-04 10:15 PM) |

FIrst of all, it's spelled: Now that that's been drilled in, let's try something else. He's asking about sprite Map16 data, which technically as far as I've hard doesn't exist. If he asked about sprite grpahic editing, fine. Did he? No. Don't waste posts on answering unasked questions. Generally if someone wants to monify the sprite M16 data, they've probably edited the sprites already |
