Every tume I play Paper Mario[N64], The game sometimes crashes with debug information popping up on the screen such as: "THREAD 4 : ADDRESS ERROR ON LOAD"at the top. It irritates me when I always have to keep selecting the game's key code on a GameShark, even when the GameShark turns on less than half the time. Who knows how to fix this crash? [the GameShark has nothing to do with it] |

Actually, the GameShark probably has everything to do with it. You can have it completely corrupt the data... And since I've never seen that problem, have had Paper Mario almost since release date, and have never had this problem, I'm guessing it's the GameShark's fault. | |||

Yeah, probably the Gameshark. Gameshark is notorious with messing up N64 games. Or maybe you're just not putting the game into the console quite right. Blow into the cartridge to make sure there's no dirt in there causing any problem. |

Blowing into cartdridges just detroiates the contacts if you didn't know. I just read about that on a NES site. It's not dangerous doing it once or so. But there are people who do it daily... The only time I have been succeful with Debug information coming up was on Zelda: Ocarina of time, and that's by doing a button code after doing a glitch which caused a crash. I don't know if N64 carts are battery based, but if they are. Taking out the battery could fix any problem with Screwed save data. But I doubt it could be that. |

I've had that game since release date, too, and it's one of my favs of all time- not a single problem with it. Only times that game has messed up on me were when my siblings knocked it over and the N64 fell three feet and hit the ground- though 3/4 of the time it'll still work after that. I'm guess your problem could be Gameshark related. But where did you get it from? if you got it used, then maybe someone else did something to it... |

Reciprocality X: No idea, it popped up for me too. Reciprocality X: A weird debug screen. Kyouji Craw: Well similiar things have happened as a result of a gameshark so I just assumed... Reciprocality X: Yeah. =/ guess I was wrong. |
