One time, my dad had this insane offer from his boss; her husband is a producer in the movie business. Accompanied by her, we had backstage access to see a few celebrities and had a few invitations to see them on the red carpet and actually meet them!

I tried to say hello to Jack Nicholson but he was'nt too pleased. All he said was, "Get the hell away from me kid! I'm busy!".

On random occasions, I've met Weird Al Yanchovic, Christopher Lloyd, Bridgette Wilson, and Jennifer Love Hewett. They were off at cafes, shops, and whatnot.
I actually shook hands with them and struck conversation with some that were'nt too busy; Weird Al Especially. Told him I enjoyed his parodies and he should make more. He said he'd think about it.

Other occasions, we drove by some and also met angry faces. We see Tom Hanks outside of his house looking for something. Then he looked at us like we were freaks, pointing and honking at him.

We also seen Harrison Ford at a diner before we headed out to the Los Angelas Airport. My mom went up to him to say hi, just after he ordered some food. He banged on the table, got up and slammed the door. Looked pissed off.

Other times, we would go to see standup. Once we saw Gilbert Godfrey, making jokes, squinting with his eyes covered, like he was having a migraine.
Another time, we saw Adam Sandler up on stage, he also sang some opera, which was pretty hilarious. "President Busho, President Gorro... Hilary Clinton, is a Whorro!"

Closest I came was when I was working in fast food. Maura Tierney (ER, Celebrity Poker Showdown champeen) came in to get some lunch. Overalls, white T-shirt, big sunglasses. I didn't recognize her but the manager did. (I was too busy doing drive-thru to pay much attention.) She was driving through on her way to a golf tournament.

It's got to be tough not living anywhere.

As for me, I can't recall meeting any celebrities, really. I lead a boring and mundane life.

My wife met Martina Hingis once (a professional tennis player, for those who don't know), but that's pretty much it.

I've never personally met any celebrities, nor do I really care to... I have enough going on in my own life to keep me busy.

Outside of concerts (and after them).

I meet the following people.

Mel Gibson. He owns a house in Washougal Washington, I use to live in the outskirts of that town, and his kids are enrolled in the school district (Home schooled though). I meet him twice. Well... The first time I was walking down the road and came across this hummer parked on the side of the road (by the recycling bin things) and the window was rolled down and it was Mel Gibson. I waved and said hi, and he returned both of them. I didn't bother him more than that since I hate to be bothered. I'm not sure what the hell he was doing but it was still instresting.

The other time I was in safeway at 6AM. and there were quite a few people there blocking off asles and pretty much keeping me and my family to one part of the store. It was very unconvient. But yeah, we saw Mel and some woman (Pretty sure it was his wife) shopping.

I meet Jimmy Urine of Mindless Self Indulgence a total of three times but since I'm not counting after concerts.... I was in 7/11 getting a slurpy a few hours before the MSI concert and theres Urine at the counter trying to buy a slurpy but was a quarter shy. He asked me for change and he said he wouldn't pay me back because hes a cheap skate. I than meet him again after the said concert (while waiting to be picked up). He again asked me for chance and when I told him I had none he told me to lean forward and I did and he smacked me.

I play in the same band as the bassist from The Hollies (ask yer parents if you don't know who I mean) and he's a phenomenal bass player, and a great guy to talk to. He always has an anecdote about life on the road to tell!

Other than that, I've met the guys from Dream Theater twice, System of a Down's drummer and guitarist, James Hetfield (and he really does say YEEAAAH! in real life!) and I was stood behind the bassist/singer from Less than Jake at leeds festival last year at the burger van. He's such a cool guy its sureal

I didn't meet him but I saw Jay Leno at Disneyland. Saw him when I was on the little cart going from the parking lot to the entrance. Then later on, I saw him sitting on a bench talking to some chick. Came back by an hour later and he was still sitting there talking. Didn't want to interupt him so I didn't talk to him. :/

And I saw Missy Elliot at the Norfolk airport.

Hmm..lets see..I've met uhh..

I met Mandy Moore at an autograph sign..which I think I still have . It was when she first came out with that one song "Candy" which I acutally liked . She was nice and looked different in person. Her face wasn't actually as clear as it was on TV, of course though. She's not perfect . I met her at the Virgin Megastore..I forgot how I heard about it. I think it was on the radio. We kinda cut the line cause we didn't know where it ended and it actually had a gap between the middle an the end and we just happend to slide in the middle and a few people complained but they didn't kick us out and make us go to the back.

My sister and mom met Toya, she had that song out a few years ago called "I Do" which I liked mucha. It had a good beat mwhaha..but they got me an autograph. I still have it..on a regular piece of paper.

I think thats all the people I've really met. Just because you're not in California doesn't mean you don't see any celebrities . They're not everywhere and walking down the streets..well where I'm at.

No, not up close. Stephen King (author of Cujo, Salem's Lot, and the Dark Tower series) lives about 60 miles from me in Bangor, ME and John Travolta has a summer house in Kennebunkport.
