| Ouch, reminds me of the greyout I had. It went from full power to greyout to blackout. Strange seeing the computer on, while things around you shut themself off and the lamps being "half on". Then the blackout came. Went for hours, annoyed me as I where busy at the computer. But it wasn't anything importnat. Only affected out part of the neighberhood. Blackouts are rare here.  We have a strong power grid... |

I've heard the term brownout, but I don't know if that's the same.  Last time we had a blackout here, I was home alone, and I had to call my parents on my cellphone to ask them where the fuck they'd put all the lighters.  (To light the candles, of course. I don't like sitting in the dark.  )Of course they'd put them in some freaking drawer, and I couldn't see a damn thing.. *fumbles*.. I don't think we've ever had a greyout. I've seen it go a little up and down (making the lights both weaker and brighter than what they should be.  ), but not for longer periods of time. |

| We had a blackout last Monday actually. Only for around 30 minutes but it was one of those that just happened out of the blue. No rain, no storm, nothing. |

I hate it when the power flickers. It may only be for a second, but MAN it can cause a problem or two with your life. Like if you are on the computer and the power flickers in the middle of something  AHHHHH!!!! |

Thing is, sometimes the power will go out for less than two minutes and there isn't a storm --nothing going on outside....it just happens. Used to happen *A LOT* at the 2nd place that I lived at, on my own.  |

| Well, if that happens there has to be something wrong with something, somewhere. It has happened here as well, only for a very short period of time, but it doesn't happen often. Last time the power went out here, it was because something in a transformer went wrong. It was being fixed after a few hours, though. |

| Never seen a brownout (not enough power to go around) yet... And yes, I hate both of those. My wavebird just kinda died after a brutal smash into the floor, but Nintendo products should be able to handle that . Plus I've had games freeze at the end. Once when my brother was playing Hey You Pikachu (XD) it crashed just after he caught a HUGE fish. Figures. |
