DBZ: HD isn't too bad...KI I go for more...just for the sheer fact that I'm not so dominating in DBZ as I am in KI. Anyways...here's another one for those in the puzzle biz: >>> Ranma (edited by Ranko on 07-23-04 02:56 AM) |

I have some games from 'beyond' as ROMs, and only FF6, Chrono Trigger as US carts - and a game I probably won't need to mention (heh, CIF-quality only, a cell phone still is no replacement if you don't have a good digicam ) I can play that game again and again sometimes; just to enjoy the really neat and cute animations, the basic battle system but powerful spell creation system; so I even wanted to have the original game, although the ROM allows to use an English translation - just to have the original is somehow a fine feeling. I think many of the people here having the original game (like if you have Xenogears or others, today more rare, games, than just a plain data ISO) would agree too |

Surlent: Got Rudra no Hihou just last week...you're right, it's definitely one hell of an RPG...that's for sure. At least one that slipped from beneath my radar at least. It's kinda weird though since I'm more used to the physicals winning the game more than magic...but in this game so far I think the only things that have been keeping me alive are the magics you come up with. Going to bars work well and guessing works too. |

Originally posted by Ranko Hehe, and now you are already enjoying the very neat box for that game too ... is also good; I never saw a game cover FULLY illustrated with images, and beautiful like hell. At least in Europe, SNES games always had a larger black frame on the left and the bottom Try to steal spells from enemies; if you are really fast enough you can memorize the Kana and write tham down; so I did my first attempts and I beat Sion's scenario in Japanese (took me _masses_ of tries/time to kill Sion's chapter boss ), when I was ready to face Surlent's quest, the french translation came out If you got a good spell, try to modificate it; adding prefixes like "Goze" (or even suffixes if that works for the japanese version too) or other ones usually strengthen an effect, but also inrease the MP-usage inexcusably strong. Tactical stuff too; and this along with the limit of items to nine of each piece. And spells like Purumora (steals enemy's MP) are very weak and even don't work in boss-fights, hehe So balance well; a while I worked with the crappy spell "Gozederefuna" (Surlent's first basic healing spell for all is "Refuna") for 9 HP was weak ... I didn't know it too well, there were FAR better healing spells. One spell is mentioned in the game, "Megami" - quite average healing for 8 MP; I have still some spells in mind I used for the japanese ROM two years ago; I could PM you them |

Sorry if this is a bit of a bump, but I thought a bump would be better than making an entire new thread... I recently imported this bad boy...Naruto: Gekitou Ninja Taisen 2. I must admit, I don't usually play too many imports, but given the oppertunity, and simple yet fun control style, I would be able to get the most fun for my buck. I played it for a while today, and I wasn't dissapointed at all. Given the extreme scarcity of anything Naruto stateside, it's definitely worth an import if you're a fan. Although Gai is still giving me trouble for some reason... And then, as if that wasn't enough, I went to a nearby arcade, and to my surpise, they had a Biohazard: Gun Survivor 2 machine, normally a Japan exclusive. After thoroughly soiling myself with glee, I decided to give it a go. Even though I am a diehard RE fan, I was a bit skeptical. However, Capcom managed to pull off the concept rather well. Although the controls are a it clunky here and there, it does a reasonably good job converting the concept while still preserving the signature RE flavor. If you happen to see one, give it a spin. It will only set you aout a couple quarters anyway... |
