I pulled an "Evil Zerg" on a newbie player on Starcraft. The kid must have been idle while I killed everyone else... I told him to go to a spot and become my ally. He put all his buildings there and scvs, I told him I would protect them all. I happened to have all my units buried and the flying ones nearby. Once they all landed and started picking off resources, I cut the alliance! His last words: You fucking suck you bitch fuck stupid faggot gay! It was evil but pretty damn hilarious! |

Since the only online game I remember playing alot was also StarCraft well.... The game was a 1vs1vs1vs1(I think) and was custom (fast mineral). I was a protoss. I think the three other people were friends because they allied themselves to kill me. But I ended up cushing them because: Dark Archons -> SCV, Drone -> Zerg, Terran Base -> Mutalisks, Wraith (and Scouts) -> Set rally point on a scout -> Enemy dead. |

Resident Evil Outbreak. Ever since the friendly fire option was activated, people have been holding deathmatches. One day, I decided to try one. The game starts, and everyone starts shooting at each other...except for me. I go around the area and pick up all the herbs and ammo. When I get back, everyone is in critical condition, and almost out of ammo if they werent already. I come out and kill everyone effortlessly. |

I once had two characters on a text-online game. One was a GM, and one was some random novice I just started playing. One day, after a new GM was given his powers, I congratulated him on his accomplishment, and said that having GM powers was really cool. This dude thinks I'm impersonating a GM, so he helled me. Problem was, I logged on as my GM, and told that guy... "Hey, seen any newbs running around talking like a GM?" He said yes, he helled one just now. "You do know that was me, right?" I swore that dude was pissing his pants =P |

In EverQuest, I'm less of a joker and more of a laugher, to be honest . But, I'll always remember when I first started playing and rolled up a wood elf character to help me learn the ropes. I beat up some orcs, and one dropped some booze. When I visited a merchant in the wood elf city, Kelethin, I spotted the alcohol in my inventory where I'd left it. Now, keep in mind that Kelethin is series of wooden platforms built high in the treetops, each connected by narrow walkways and the entire setup sans handrails. I couldn't discern how to drink the booze, so I fiddled with it for a bit and finally right-clicked it. My character, being a low level, puny elf, was immediately hammered. The screen swayed and shook so violently, and my vision became so terrible, that I haplessly plummeted to my death from the city's heights . Afterwards, I decided on a paladin character, selecting a race whose city was planted more firmly on the ground. |

Worst is probably the first time I attempted Gunbound...thought it was Scorched Earth like in terms of every man for himself and fired at my own team frequently...oh well. Best, and this is probably not as online as I'd like it be, but the high school I went to had a small network of comps and there weren't too many people that really knew how to add stuff on the comps (except myself and a few of my friends). We ended up getting DOOM on the majority of the ones in the computer lab in the high school area and the library and eventually had an 11-person deathmatch going via DooM Legacy. Friggin' awesome too because it was gameplay over one of the WADs I made back in the day. Scored 50 frags in under 7 minutes. ph34r teh use of the Plasma Rifle for heavy cumulative damage and BFG9000 for triple frags. |

Sounds like a LAN party of some sort. My friends and I would play a lot of Quake II and watch the demos and junk. I like playing with people who don't know me; once I named myself Mister Baka. I went on a killing spree and got about 65 frags in 4 minutes. Most of them I killed without them noticing. Some angry people yelled, "Okay dammit! Who the fuck is Mister Baka?" "I dunno!!!!" "The guy's a fucking hacker!" "Someone kick his ass quick!" "Shit! How does he do that!?" "Hey hobag! Stop hogging the frags! Fucking lamer!". I love to beat a bunch of people anonymously! Heh heh heh! (edited by The_Raven on 07-08-04 09:48 AM) |

I've got a few of these.... One time in Gunbound, my team was on the lava map, side A. A Team (mine) had two lives left, B had one. It was my turn, I had a clear shot at a guy from B that was critical, but I was also bunched with a guy who was critical from my side, and I was critical too. I figure (since I'm in an A.Sate) that I don't wanna screw this one up, so I equip a double shot. My finger slips, I tap the spacebar, and end up shooting both myself and my teammate. The combined shockwave of my shots (since I was wearing a suit that gave me a slight bunge boost) ended up giving me a double suicide bunge, and made my team lose. I was kicked from the room promptly after losing. Then there was the time in Starcraft when my friends and I were all pissed off at another friend of ours, because he backstabbed a lot. So, the three of us decided to launch a huge offensive at him, and ended up seriously gangbusting him. Or another interesting story, when I was playing with Valcion and another of my friends, and my friend decided to let loose 12 nukes in a row (he maxed out on them and stacked) on one of Val's command centers. Or the adventures of Jimmy The Drone, when in one game my forces were reduced to nothing more than an overlord and 12 drones, but I was allowed to watch the game anyway. He kept walking around the map doing nothing, "nothing" being spying for one of my friends on another of my friends (since we have a policy where if someone is effectively disabled, they get allied with everyone and can keep watching the game). I kept being stupid and typing in a fake conversation being held between the drone and the overlord, like it was a television show or something. Eventually my friend caught on to my little scheme, and seige tanked the drone. There was a funeral. Or "The Great Wall of Kevin", where one of my friends decided to make a gigantic wall of photon cannons stretching from one corner of Fastest Ever to the other. Or the antics of a full force Wintermaul in WCIII, in which someone got pissed when a friend of mine decided to start spouting racial slurs (jokingly of course) with the sole intention of pissing that one person off, because it was damn funny to do so, as his reactions were, to say the least, quite amusing. And finally, I will never, ever forget the WCIII match in which I and three of my friends decided to square off against the Hard level computer opponents. Because we were so soft from our days of turtling on each other, we were blasted to bits by Grunt Rushes. |

A few friends and I always make a 7vs1 Comp stomp game on Starcraft. We kill the computer and naturaly, we havent checked allied victory. We end up convincing the other players to kill each other off. Then we miner drop in their main base and kill them off. Gets better everytime.

...I'm surprised you had that many Dead Branches to begin with. Ye gods. But you know... you could have, like, sold them and been happier. Worst moment - Playing SC against my friend, who's a much better player than I am. I actually break into his base a half-hour in with a bunch of Firebats. I'm ripping apart the place and he's likely going to lose... ...but he had two Battlecruisers. Firebats can't fire at air targets. You do the math. |

God! I hate when people use a bunch of battle cruisers! Once I played against my dad's college intern. He was a real hardcore player using Protoss on Broodwar. I got really despirate and told him, "Screw it! I'll lose anyway, or will I? You know you can use cheats here? One that you probably have'nt heard of. Press Shift+Ctrl+Delete can make all your units max out." The guy fell for it and selected all his best units and blew them up! KNowing how expensive all those Carriers were, I laughed my ass off on the other line!

I used a ton of BC's the last time I played and got horribly slaughtered. Then again, I was going up against the Protoss, and that usually equals sheer death for me. |

I think it is because they tend to get stupid and follow enemies after being hit. You lose control of the damn things and before you know it, they all blow up. The best way to better prepare yourself is to play against the computer(s). They can help you find ways of building more efficiently. I don't rush people unless they don't say so; other times I am a big boomer, I'll find all the resource spots, bury with defense, then build once the coast is clear, and expand as quickly as I can. My dad does the same with BC's but he always backs them up with Valkyries. 8 Missiles at a time, pretty nice, and expensive. Also played Baldur's Gate online a few times. I learned about the editors TeamBG provided, then I made my own creatures and areas. I uploaded some on my friend's computer and we would go to that place to fight eachother with whatever character we got. 25,650 hp or something crazy like that; we would fucking wail on eachother! |

Originally posted by Colleen dead branches are ridiculously good defense in guild siege And besides, the server i was playing on at the time had an npc where you could trade in like 10 jellopy for a dead branch.... so they were plentiful. Oh yeah in SC once i got backstabbed. Allied with my friend (who was zerg) he built a canal in my base to "protect me" and then let out a fury of hydralisks and unallied. Funniest thing I did in a game? Well, in Runescape there would be "drop" parties and such where people would drop items. I was like "i just dropped 1 mil right here" and like 300 people came flocking over to me, and i only dropped like 3 coins.
