Yeah, the Rank Sets would have to be really good to be put up. I might start working on one. (An EarthBound rank set, using the Out-of-Battle monster sprites).

Gunbound was an exception though - Milly was in the mood to make it I think.

In general, it should be high-quality and make sense. (Don't put Goomba ahead of Bowser.)

Is there a limit in dimensions of the each animation and file size ?
I was on the way to gather all enemies' standing animations from Rudra no Hihou, and I overwrote my own saves; maybe when I have some more spare time I'll animate all other ones (currently only having some from the final dungeon and _all_ enemies in Sion's chapter up to day 7 - 45 enemies currently; and still many to come )
So there might be smaller sprites like


and bigger versions, mostly bosses, like



If these bigger sizes are no bigger problem (saving them as high-quality animated GIFs), probably some day I'll continue my work and will obtain all enemies and contribute my package too

I think the Kirby suggestion was good... If I ever feel bored, I could get the pictures together for a whole kirby rankset

Well look at the ranks we have now. Bowser's larger than a Koopa.

I think as long as the ranks aren't too huge, they should be fine. I'd scale that second one down a bit, Surlent.

Surlent: Might want to check your frames in your Manju sprite. The wheel's a bit off, probably happened in the conversion with Animation Shop if you use it...I get that sometimes when it tries to merge frames.

Yes, I know it's frickin' huge, compared to other sprites from SNES, but Rudra or one following boss is even bigger. Mitra takes up an entire half of the screen in her second form; and fully animated.
The problem is the resizing; that the animation then will be fucked up, due to smaller pixels vanishing; well, I won't do anything; but anyway I'm doing this just for me personally.
On the other hand I can understand your post; who wants to have a damn huge pic, which is only a small rank image ?

Well, I have decided on Gunstar. How many people have heard of this game? Anyway, I have 2 done so far:
This is Orange. He is one of the bosses.

This is Red. He is also one of the bosses.

I am mainly getting the bosses for the 10, 20, 30 etc levels. Sub-bosses (I think there are some) for the 5, 15, 25 etc levels. and the first 9 levels will consist of the powerups and some of their extra double powers (you would have to play the game to know what Im talking about). The rest of the levels will be random enemies that are found through out the game.

I need an answer to these questions:

1. How many levels are there?
2. Is NAN a level?
3. Does NAN need a picture?
4. Is it okay to have fairly large pictures (Like that clock gif that Surlent made?)

Thanks. If I can get my pictures ripped quick enough, this may be done in a month or 2.

For the longest time I have planned to make a C&C rankset, never got around starting it even . It's a PC game... (in other words, most Zsnes tricks won't work...)

But on the other hand it's not that many frames the units move in, it's not that hard.
