So, your going on a vacation to your favorite amusement park/boardwalk/other place with lots of stuff. What do you normally do?

I usually stay away from rollercoasters... slight fear of them for some reason. I will ride the small ride though, like the viking ship thingy, and ALL water rides are met by me (Even the splash zones). Then I hit the arcade(if there is one) and go after games with huge jackpots (I win those with very good timing ).

So, what do you like to do at wherever you go?

I wish I could go to an amusement park... Haven't been to any in over two years now. I like the rides that make you sick at your stomach. Dunno why.

Bad stuff tends to happen to me when I try to go to amusement parks, be it almost passing out from heat exhaustion or almost getting into car accidents on the way home.

While I'm there, I'm partial to water rides, myself, though I tend to go wherever the group I'm with does.

I go on pretty much anything, except the tower rides where the seats go up, stop, and then suddenly shoot straight down. I'll avoid water rides if I don't want to get wet, but most of the time I couldn't care less.

Word of advice....do not go on the Hulk rollercoater at ten in the morning, right after you just woken up, and with no clue in mind what the ride actually is.

Then after that, go on it several more times.

I'm about three or so hours from Orlando and, in a way, it sucks, because we have all these snow birds, tourists and so forth coming down here.

Best time to go is off season; that's when we went. No lines, no crowds, I mean, we went on rides serval times without waiting more than ten minutes. It was great.

I really want to hit a water park, but I might wait until at least school starts up again.

But yea, I love to hit the water rides and the rollercoasters first.

Nothing!

I don't like coasters, don't like water rides... Maybe I'll hang out in the arcade or just get a hot dog/Coke and walk around. More for the social aspect than the fun aspect, you see.

I like 'em
Taking some people with you and spending a whole day is nice.
Except roller coasters which go "over-head" like these with looping we usually try out out everything.

In Germany my favourite parks for me are Phantasialand and Europa-Park; these simply have the best overall atmosphere and goot thematic setup

Ummm..Colleen...so you are willing to spend the money to get into the park...just to walk around?!! You know, my dear cleric, they do have malls and the likes just for people like you.

If I were you, I'd look up once in a while...never know when someone on a coaster will throw down a water balloon at ya.

Hit the big line rides first.

Party with small rides, waterpark, arcade, etc.

Close the night with funnel cake and a final ride on the tallest or scariest coaster.

Try LegoLand some time. It's not quite as "polished" as Europa-Park (it's only been open for a couple years), but it's got some good rides, and seeing all those figures made out of legos is funny, lol.
Like the birds, a bear, a couple dragons, a giraffe or 2, etc., etc.

Anyway, back to the topic... I LOVE amusement parks, the more intense the ride, the better! I just don't like rides where there isn't something solid under my feet... but other than that, the faster, and the more twists and turns, the better
I particularly love the Outer Limits in Kings Dominion... that ride is awesome when it shoots you out at like 70mph right off the bat! (That's about 112km/h, for the metricly-inclined).

Get a season pass to Cedar Point, and go whenever you get the whim. Like today. Man, that's the best amusement park ever.

I'm mainly coasters and water rides. A tiny trait I developed on a trip to Six Flags a couple of years back. Good times, good times...

Amusement parks [or carousels] isn't my thing. I've only been to an amusement park once, and that was when I was seven. And I didn't try any rides. Wait, I did some lame car driving stuff, but I think that was also it... I wanted to try the ghost house, but of course it was out of order.. bleh..

Anyway, where I live there are no amusement parks, but a tivoli comes to town every second year, and last time it was here I actually tried a ride. And I didn't like it. [Although I think it'd be better if I tried it again, since now I know more what it's like.] So maybe I can enjoy those smaller carousels at least. But nothing that goes fast and high up in the air, no thanks.

Nothing beats the rides at Bay Beach, a local amusement park. There's bumper cars, the giant swings, a ferris wheel, a tilt-a-whirl, and a ground ride called the scrambler, which is like a tilt-a-whirl, yet not. The rest are "kiddie" rides. Although it's small, it's fun.

Only place even close to me is Oak's Amusement Park. There's also North Clackamas Aquatic Park, which is more fun in general but isn't really an amusement park, per se.

I think our closest AP is Bush Gardens... even then its 2 1/2 - 3 hours away... Then theres the boardwalk... which is about the same distance.

So I dont really get to go that often
